Title Ephesians 06:1-3 I Like Parents

Content I like my parents

(Eph 6:1-3)

A few years ago, a great earthquake struck southern Armenia in the Commonwealth of Independent States. It was a devastating earthquake that killed and injured hundreds of people. However, there is a story of two mothers and daughters who were trapped in a pile of concrete collapsed in an earthquake and were miraculously rescued after 14 days.

A woman named Susanna and her four-year-old daughter were rescued and survived 14 days after being trapped in a pile of concrete. According to the story told after being rescued, there were three people: Susanna, a four-year-old daughter, and her aunt who had fallen into a pile of concrete. The aunt died within a few days. Witnessing the tragic sight of her aunt dying, the two met each other. He embraced it and kept it alive.

Adults have the power to maintain their stamina for more than 10 days with their own water and protein, but children do not. Children will faint and die if they do not drink enough water for three days.

Susanna's daughter was only four years old. On the third day, the child fainted. The mother was determined to save her daughter's life. So, I picked up a piece of glass next to me, stabbed my finger, bled and dried my daughter's neck. But blood doesn't always flow from one finger. So, after a little flow and the bleeding stopped, the next day I pricked another finger to moisten the child's neck. I did this for fourteen days. When they were rescued, nine out of ten fingers were pierced by shards of glass and bleeding.

The child ate her mother's blood to sustain her life, and the mother's love to save her daughter's life was revived by shedding her own blood.

A mother-daughter relationship is truly a blood relationship. The mother gave her life and shed blood to save her daughter. How painful would it be to stab your hand with a shard of glass? I was able to overcome the pain because my love for my daughter was greater than the pain. Where are these mothers only in Armenia? Didn't we grow up in this kind of mother's love, sacrifice, and blood-sweaty devotion? Even now, when I think of Mother's love and grace, my heart is moved.

According to the Parent Hyegyeong, it is said that children grow up eating the milk, blood, and love of the parents of 84,000 islands. And it is said that it takes about 8,500 labors to change a diaper until a person pees. Also, looking at some statistics, it is said that when a person is born to the age of 25, the cost of child support, education, and marriage are all calculated, it costs about 50 million won per person. If you add up the hard work of your parents and the cost of emotional pain, you don't know what a huge number it will be. However, parents not only love their children with uncountable love, but they still love their children even when they are heartbroken and filthy.

These words appear in Kim Cheon-taek's Chunggeungyeongeon

"If you give birth to a fatherly child and raise a child of motherhood, then the good luck will come.

This word means "the kindness of parents who gave birth and raised them, just like the sky is infinitely large and wide, there is no way to repay the kindness of parents endlessly."

(Ephesians 6:1-3) Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother. This is the first commandment with a promise. It goes well with you, and you may live long on the earth. .

Here in the Bible, children's duty is to "be obedient in the Lord."

The Bible (Colossians 3:20) says, “Children, obey your parents in everything, for this is pleasing in the Lord.”

Children must obey their parents and obey their will. There is no reason for this. This is the best way given to children.

According to a Gallup poll, when asked what is best for their children, the majority of parents answered, "It puts them at ease." It is purebred. Children must obey their parents.

Here in the Bible, the duty of children is to "honor your father and mother." The Hebrew word for "honor" here is 'kabod'. It means "with due respect for authority." In Greek, it is 'Kivedra'. This means heavy. This word comes from the word "liver soy sauce". The Hebrews thought that the liver was the heaviest among the internal organs of the human body. The liver is one of the internal organs of our body. The liver is said to make up one-fifth of its body weight.

An important function of this liver is = a. It serves to store nutrients the body needs. b. This is where the replacement of substances provided to the human body is vigorous. c. It is a place that works to detoxify the poison that enters the body or the poison that is generated in the body. d. This is the place where bile, which is absolutely necessary for digestion, is made and supplied to the gallbladder sac. e. It destroys old red blood cells and maintains a certain amount of water, thereby regulating the balance of all functions. The function of the liver is directly related to life and plays an important role in maintaining human health. what do you mean ? It means to treat your parents as heavy as liver. It means to take the lessons of your parents as precious, heavy, and inevitably as your life. This is the meaning of the word about reverence. This means that you should respect your parents like this.

If you honor your parents in the Lord, you will receive the blessings that God has promised.

1. Good luck.

The Bible (Ephesians 6:3) says, "...it may be well with you."

The word here is the word "Yatabu". It is a blessing of prosperity. It is a blessing that comes with everything a person needs in all circumstances.

The blessing of children (Ephesians 6:3), the blessing of wealth (Ex 20:12), the blessing of material things (Gen 45:7), the blessing of honor (Gen. 41:46), the blessing of descendants (Proverbs 6:20, 22) , Jeremiah 35:18), etc.

2. It is the blessing of longevity.

The Bible (Ephesians 6:3) "... you shall live long on the earth", (Exodus 20:12) Honor your father and mother, that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you (Deuteronomy 5:16). ) You shall honor your father and mother, as the LORD your God has commanded you, so that you may live long and be blessed in the land the LORD your God is giving you.

"Longevity" here also means to live a long time in the present age. Not only that, 'to live a long time' here also has the biblical meaning of "continue to go on" and "to grow long without breaking" (Numbers 9:12, 22; Deuteronomy 4:26, 40).

Because the Rechabites were filial, they inherited blessings from generation to generation (Jeremiah 35:18).

However, the rebellious and disobedient child Absalom was short-lived and failed. Also, while riding a donkey to fight against his father's army, his hair caught on a branch and his body was hung and killed by General Joab's sword (2 Samuel 18:9, 15).

In the last days, it is said that children resist their parents and cause them to die (Mark 13:12). Those who do not honor their parents will be put to death (Deuteronomy 23:18-21) and cursed (Deuteronomy 27:16).
