Church, Spiritual Command (Ephesians 6:10-20)
Today I am going to share my third sermon about the church.
1. What is the Church?
The church is the house of God. As children of God, we come to God's house and receive grace through worship. When we receive grace, our faith life becomes. Most importantly, we are to receive grace, and the church is a great opportunity and place to offer grace.
2. The church is a worshiping community.
The most important function and role of the church is worship. Through worship, we must listen to God's Word, receive grace and gain strength, and enjoy the blessings of worship. If we do not win in worship, our religious life and life will fail. It should be worship in spirit and in truth.
3. The church is the spiritual headquarters.
The church is the army of God from a spiritual point of view. When it comes to the army, you must win battles, you must have strength, and you must win battles. God's people must always live a victorious life, and they must become spiritually armed through the church. The church is like the headquarters of an army, and it must provide strength to the saints. In this sense, it is necessary to understand the Spiritual Command.
4. The biggest problem the church faces in this age is helplessness.
The church is losing its strength, and the individual members are losing their strength. The image of the church that had lost its strength was Samson with a shaved head, a man who was established as a judge and leader of Israel and was completely devoted to God from birth. His life was to help Israel by fighting and defeating the people who harassed the Israelites by giving him strength. But he did not shave his head because he was a Nazarite. His power came from the hair of his head. However, he fell in love with a woman named Delilah and told him the secret of his power. Eventually, he shaved his head and was captured by the Philistines, and although he avenged himself, he ended a miserable life.
When the church loses its power, it is sad to see that it is ridiculed and criticized by society. This is not a normal church. The church must restore its spiritual strength. Now, because the church has lost its strength and cannot give people directions, goals, and answers for life, many believers are wandering and kneeling in front of idolatry. We have the life and power of Jesus, and through this power we can overcome all our problems and be restored.
Many churches today have problems large and small. These problems are evidence that the church is losing power.
5. But the foundation of our strength is Jesus.
According to the Gospels, we can see that Jesus used amazing power and authority when He was on this earth.
Jesus Christ gave his life to save us, and the Lord has given us the promise that if our church and our members go out to preach this gospel, which He wants to save us all with that gospel, the Lord will be with us with great power. That power and authority lies in the church. If we lose the power and authority that God has given us, the church will lose its power. The church should take on the role and mission of a spiritual supporter when society faces difficulties. The early church suffered persecution and hardship because of their faith in Jesus. But there was a tremendous and amazing heat and power in it. (Acts 2:42-47) The church was so powerful that when people feared God and feared the crowds that gathered, it was only then that they had a good influence on society. Today, when the church loses its strength and becomes helpless and is ridiculed and criticized by society, it is absolutely impossible to preach the gospel, let alone influence it on society.
(Acts 5:12-16) After Jesus was resurrected and ascended into heaven, the believers gathered and became the church. God was with us here, and God's amazing power and authority were with us, so miracles took place, and these things were spread to the people around us and many people received the gospel. Even though 120 people started, they expanded and spread the gospel of the Roman Empire within 250 years. A history of conquest took place. Because of the power of the church. This is because of the infinite power and authority of Jesus in people.
6. What should the church do for those who gather at church today?
1) We need to give strength to those who cross the threshold of the church. We must communicate and make known the amazing power of Jesus Christ. 2) You must give answers to many problems in life. The right direction, the right path, and the bright light should be given to those who wander
7. The church and the religious life are spiritual battles.
I hope that we will live a victorious life by receiving this strength from the Lord, knowing right away the importance of the church and the powerful power within the church and that power also exists through Jesus Christ.
