Title Ephesians 06:19-20 Pray for me
Contents Pray for me (Ephesians 6:19-20)
“And what I will ask for is, ‘Give me the word, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel’” (verse 19).
I haven't been able to travel the world yet, but I have traveled to about 20 countries by counting. I'd like to go to Europe, but I haven't had a chance. Among Europe, I have been to Rome, Greece, and Ankara, Turkey, but these three countries are characterized by many churches and temples. Wherever you go, there are many stone statues in tourist attractions. The statues are great men of faith, but we do not know who they are. I haven't seen them, and I have no way of knowing. But if the figure in the statue has the key in his hand, it must be Peter. And if he was holding a sword, it would be undoubtedly saying that he was the apostle Paul. The Apostle Paul held up his sword, not downward, but upward. Thus, Paul is called the apostle of the Word. Wherever Paul went, from western Asia Minor to Rome, he was only preaching the word despite all kinds of persecution. The apostle Paul commanded Timothy to “preach the word in season and out of season.” Luke testified that Paul was “caught by the word” (Acts 18:5). It is not that Paul preaches the word, but that the Word captivates and hires him.
In today's text, Paul is not asking for health or economics for me, but "Give me the word." Is it because Paul doesn't know the word? Paul is a man who wrote, knows, memorizes, and preaches the Word. But again, he asked me to give him the word, but what did Paul mean by the word he was thinking of?
1. The word Paul thinks is the sword of the Spirit.
2. The word Paul thinks is the absolute element of salvation.
3. For Paul, the Word is the mystery of the gospel.
“Please allow me to open my mouth and boldly proclaim the mystery of the gospel.” The Word is the mystery of the gospel. The secret of the gospel is Jesus Christ. Paul decided not to know anything but the crucified of Jesus Christ. I decided not to tell. I decided not to brag. Paul is, in fact, not a bold person. 1 Corinthians 2:3 says, "I was weak, I was afraid, and I trembled greatly." 1 Corinthians 2:4-5 “My speech and my preaching were not in words of wisdom, but in the manifestation and power of the Holy Spirit, so that your faith did not rest on the wisdom of men, but with the power of God.” I know very well that you can rely on knowledge and philosophy, and you can rely on humans. But we also know that if we rely on such things, the power of God will depart. So he is I decided to give up my speaking skills and depend only on the power of God. So Paul earnestly asks you to pray for him. The word used by the Holy Spirit We ask you to pray so that the work of salvation will take place and we will be victorious in the spiritual warfare.
Starting tomorrow, for 3 days 2 nights, I will preach 5 sermons. I ask for your prayers so that I can also give you the Word so that I can speak the Word with the Word boldly and without reproach. Also, please pray that the words I preach will spread as the Word of God, and that the Word I preach will be heard as the Word of God. The word is the word of life. It is a word full of life. If you earnestly pray that the mystery of the gospel will be revealed in the Word and only the cross of Jesus Christ, the mystery of the gospel, will be communicated, I believe that a wonderful work of new life will take place.
