Bible Text: Est 5:3
Esther Power
Esther lost her parents when she was young and grew up in poverty. She grew as beautiful as a rose that bloomed from a pile of manure, became a queen, and became the protagonist of Purim Festival by saving her people from the danger of extinction of the nation. Just as Joseph became the prime minister of Egypt as a Hebrew, she became the queen of Ahasuerus of Persia, that is, of Persia, and it was grace of grace. Grace means receiving special treatment. Those who believe in Jesus receive special treatment from God. “To all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God” (John 1:12). We have the power given to children of God. The young eagle recognized himself as a chicken, but one day he saw an eagle flying in the sky and was able to fly. A person cannot do anything until he is convinced of his or her identity. We are people who believe in Jesus, become children of God, and become the bride of Christ. Esther power is Esther's strength, authority, and ability.
It's self-confidence.
Esther power is confidence. Confidence comes from knowing who I am and what I can do. Powerful people have confidence. Confidence is believing in yourself. Faith is believing in God, and faith is believing in yourself. I hope you have a lot of faith. Esther is a queen. She is the queen of Ahasuerus, king of Persia.
When Leonardo da Vinci painted the Last Supper, he painted a picture of Jesus with one hand clenched into a fist and the other with an open palm. A hand clenching a fist is an expression of confidence. It is the momentum to crush something. A fist filled with anger and will. It's like holding on to something. Exposed palms are poised to receive. Ready to accept. A believer's confidence is the hand that holds God. Confidence comes from the conviction that God is my God. At an age without strength, I need God. Being poor, I need God. I need God because I am lacking. I am sick and need a doctor. God is our healer. The Lord came to this earth for us. The Holy Spirit helps us.
Esther's power comes from faith. I am weak, but God is my weak strength. My strength comes from the holy sense of status that I am a creature of God and I became his queen by grace, and the belief that God works through me. Talent is important, but it also requires trust. A person's failure is the lack of belief in himself. Successful people have faith in themselves. David's weapon was not a sword, but a stone. It's not armor, it's the full armor of God. It is the “confidence” that God is with me.
When you start to feel confident, you stimulate your ability to do what you want, focus on your goals, and achieve your goals. David's brother Eliab rebuked David for being proud (1 Samuel 17:28), but his confidence is not pride. Edison said, "If you can do everything you can, you'll be amazed." To do what you can do, you have to believe in yourself. Successful people believe in themselves.
It is beauty.
It is courage.
Esther was brave. Courage is like light that defeats darkness. Courage is not the absence of fear, it is fear but action. No matter how strong you are, when fear catches your feet, you hold on to it. It is because of fear that I cannot speak for fear of being humiliated or rejected. Courage is rewarded more than IQ. “I am an intellectual, I have two degrees. But I don't understand why people with worse brains than me do better jobs and make more money." What do you not understand? A person who lacks courage cannot achieve fame. If you do what you've always done, you'll only get what you've always been given. Great courage produces great results.
Esther's courage said, "I also, after fasting with my maidens, will go to the king against the ordinance, and if I perish, I will perish" (Esther 4:16). The law of the Persian kingdom is that if you go to the king when he is not called, you may die. If I killed it, I was ready to die. It is Esther's martyrdom faith to save her people.
Goliath's courage was his strength, his sword, his spear, and his shield. David's courage was faith in God and a stone. The sword and shield that Saul gave him did not fit David. Faith suited him.
Courage is like a ladder that all other virtues can climb. Nothing can be done without courage. If you put your courage ahead and follow it, the path will open. Courage stimulates the potential within me to act. Courageous actions lift others up. Courage means acting decisively, even when the risk comes. Courage is acting in the face of fear.
Esther's courage saved her people. Esther Power is courage. Esther did not stop taking the risky steps she chose for herself.
It is precision
A woman's strength lies in her delicacy. it's meticulous. The book “The Power of Details” tells of the big results from the little things. Small defects lead to big losses, and small attention leads to great success. Men are sloppy and women are delicate. The lack of people is a very small part. We always get things wrong with a 2% shortage. It is often the case that trivial lacks do not yield results. Small things that seem insignificant play a big role. Whether it is an individual, a nation, a corporation, or a church, there are gains and losses that are gained through small things.
The Shunammite woman exalts him as a “precious woman.” He was praised by Elisha, saying, “You are so thoughtful for us.” Fine means fine. That was her power. Every time Elisha passes through the area, he treats them with sincerity. Later, a room was made for use only by God's people (2 Kings 4:13).
Esther doesn't know how meticulously she prepares and plans Haman's plan to destroy her people and to destroy them and save the people. The process of meeting the king and exposing Haman's schemes was not emotional. He prepares a feast and invites Haman to come. Even though it looks like we have a story to tell, we put it off until the next day.
At the decisive moment, “O king, if I have found favor in your sight, and if you consider it good, give me my life at my request, and my people according to my request, that I and my people may be sold to death and annihilation. It is done.” (Esther 7:3-4) The king was angry and said, “Who has dared to harbor such a thing in his heart?” My adversary and enemy were Haman. The mold that Mordecai was about to kill became a mold for Haman to die.
There is an advertisement on the bulletin board asking to help North Koreans. This is an advertisement for the International Corn Altar, which runs a one-meal fast and one life-saving campaign during the hard week. This is an advertisement that appeals to the saints to eat even cornmeal to their full stomach with the funds raised through the fasting of the saints during the Holy Week. We want our members to join us too.
Loving your country starts with the little things. Let's live by faith, act by faith, and love by faith just like our ancestors who fought for national independence. After Sungnyemun is burnt down, salt and soybeans are not sprinkled. It is not about loving the nation and protecting ourselves.
Esther Power came from prayer. He fasted and prayed when the nation was in crisis (Esther 4:16) After three days of fasting and prayer, he put on a robe and went out to the palace to meet the king. Please pray first. Whatever you do, pray first. Prayer is a source of energy. Confidence comes from prayer. Beauty also comes from prayer. Courage also comes from prayer. Delicacy also comes from praying. Destroying the devil is also prayer. There is nothing other than prayer. Let's believe and pray and move forward.
