Title Evangelism (Acts 18:1-11)
Content br> Introduction:
1. One of the purposes of Jesus' coming to this earth is evangelism. (Mark 1:38)
2. Evangelism is the first mission of the saints (Matt. 28:18-20).
Main subject;
1. What is evangelism?
Evangelism is when a person sent by Jesus tells the gospel of Jesus' salvation to people so that the unsaved can hear, believe, and repent so that their souls can be saved (Romans 10:13-15).
2. Examples of evangelism
1) John the Baptist (John 1:29-37)
2) Jesus (Mark. John 1:1; 14-22)
3) Apostle Paul (Acts 18:4-11. 20;17-21)
3. Points to note when evangelism
1) We do not evangelize to evangelize everyone in the world, but to lead the lost sheep that Jesus Himself chose to the life of Jesus.
2) Of course, we do not know who the sheep or goats are. Therefore, we must preach the gospel to everyone without discrimination.
3) It is the work of the Triune God by predestination through the gospel of Jesus, not by human means, that leads the soul to Jesus.
4) It is a big misunderstanding to think that it was evangelized by leading to the church and registering it.
5) Among those we want to evangelize and among those who say we will believe
should know that there may be people like Peter, while there may be people like Judas Iscariot.
6) After preaching the gospel several times, it is an idea that departs from the Bible to judge someone who will not be saved if they do not accept the gospel.
8) The Age of Noah Just as Noah, a man of God, preached righteousness for a long period of time, but no one repented, it may be the same now.
9) A truly saved believer must faithfully preach the right gospel regardless of the outcome. If you preach another gospel, you will be cursed. Because the person who preaches another gospel is not actually a saved person.
10) The purpose of evangelism is the salvation of souls, and there are no other purposes. That is, family reconciliation, church expansion, national loyalty, social reform, human transformation, healing, longevity, children's education, business success... is not. .
11) If the saved believers preach the right gospel, regardless of the outcome, that evangelism is successful.
12) The motive for evangelism is obedience to Jesus' command to evangelize, sorrow for the soul, and gratitude for Jesus' grace that saved my soul.
13) Evangelism does not mean that everyone repents, but saved saints, who are evangelists, must sow the seeds of the gospel by doing their best with the heart of a farmer who sows seeds in hope for their souls.
14) If a person who has received evangelism has been saved by God's grace, they must nurture it.
15) We must know that there are hardships in evangelism.
16) The evangelist is not the main character of evangelism. It is just a tool for God's evangelism.
17) The evangelist must know how important he is.
18) The evangelist must hope for the glory of heaven, the reward of God, not the glory of this earth.
19) You should not complain or despair while evangelizing. Rather, you should give thanks.
20) All glory must be given to our triune God. Because the evangelist did what he ought to do.
conclusion:
1. When a sinner repents, there is great joy in the presence of God's angels in heaven.
(Luke 15;10)
