Title [Ex 3:1-10] Moses Called
God accomplishes the things He has planned through man. In God's work, the deliverance of the nation of Israel from Egypt was very precious. Through this chapter, you can see that he prepared and thoroughly trained a person who wanted to accomplish that great history. Now, we are going to receive grace by examining the words about the birth and growth of that person, Moses.
1. The cry of the nation of Israel (23-25)
2. Moses' birth and training (1-22)
Moses was born in 1355 B.C. to Amram and Jochebed. The older brother Aaron was three years older, and the older sister Miriam was thirteen years older. Born in a time when persecution was severe by Pharaoh and it was difficult to preserve life, Moses was protected and raised as a competent leader in God's special plan.
① He was raised as the only grandson of Pharaoh. Jochebed did not obey the king's orders when Moses was born and was raised in hiding for three months. When the crying grew louder and it was no longer possible to hide it, they made a box and put Moses in it and placed it among the reeds of the Nile River. With the introduction of Miriam, who was watching from afar, Yochebed became a nanny and raised Moses. After she was weaned, she was able to learn literature and dance in the palace and be raised as a leader. All of this was done by God. Needless to say, though she served as a nanny, Jochebed thoroughly instructed the young Moses on Hebrew history and faith in Jehovah. Early childhood education is just as important. Faith training is best done at a young age. After Moses grew up (at the age of 40), he went to work and saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew of his own people and killed him. As a result, he immediately left the palace. In fact, God had prepared the next level of training.
