Title [Exodus 31:1-11] Workers of God

God appointed several workers to make the tabernacle. Let's find out the lessons about the Lord's servants shown through the text and receive grace together.

1. You will see that God works through people.

God is omnipotent. Sometimes he works through supernatural methods (miracles). But in general, we can see that people are appointed as workers and work through them. In the text, when the tabernacle (tent of meeting) was built, Bezalel and Oholiab were appointed as workers to work. From the creation of the world to the present day, God has continued to use this method. We will continue to work through people in the future. There is nothing more blessed and glorious than being a partaker of God's work. I hope you will be faithful in your work with a grateful heart.

2. God's work can only be done by those whom God has established.

God called Bezalel by name (2) and appointed Oholiab (6) to work with him. No matter how capable people are, they cannot do the work of the Lord unless God ordained them. The reason why Moses saved Israel and Paul founded numerous churches is because God established them and made them work. If God had not appointed and established them, they would never have been able to do the Lord's work. I sincerely thank God for the various positions he has given us to work for the Lord, and may we all be loyal. God will be pleased and will give us greater grace.

3. God's workers have the qualities they should have.

Of course, Almighty God sets them up, but he sets up and entrusts them with workers who can handle the work. Now let's take a look at the qualifications (qualifications) that those who will be called as workers must have.

① You must be filled with the Spirit (Holy Spirit) of the Lord. When the Spirit of the Lord is full, there is wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Wisdom and understanding are required to do the Lord's work, but for that to happen, you must be filled with the Holy Spirit. When we are filled with the Spirit of the Lord, we can know the will of God the Father and work according to that will. In this way, God uses people who are filled with the Holy Spirit as workers. Let us become Spirit-filled workers. I hope that we will become saints who strive to pray every day, arm themselves with the Word, and keep their holiness.

② You must have various talents. The work of the week is not uniform. It is diverse. Paul also testified that there are many gifts. Therefore, we must find out what gifts (talents) we have received from God, develop them, and become experts in that field. When you do that, you can become a precious worker that God uses dearly. Let's become the ones who put more effort into developing our gifts

③ When you have a research attitude, you can take on bigger and more important tasks. Those who study and work hard in the world can succeed. Far more high-order spiritual work cannot be done without effort and study. If we study and work hard for only a tenth of what we do for the body, we will be able to become capable people of God. Bezalkel and Oholiab made the holy things according to the contents God showed them, but they studied them in depth and made them without going against God's will. I hope that all of us who are servants of the Lord will do the Lord's work with a research attitude.

④ We have to do it together. Instead of entrusting it to Bezalel alone, he appointed Oholiab to work together. The Lord's work must be done together. You have to let go of the thought of doing it on your own. No matter how competent you are, you are not competent in all areas. When we work together according to the various gifts God has given us, everything can go smoothly. To be together, we must first be humble. Humility is thinking of others as superior to yourself. They can unite each other. We must also embrace each other. We can be together when there is generosity. Solomon had a broad heart. It is the heart that God has given (1 Kings 4:29). We need to acknowledge each other's needs. If you do not acknowledge the needs of the other person, you cannot do the Lord's work together. We must respect each other. If you don't have respect and you ignore something, you can't work together. We must love each other. Love is like a strong bond. When we unite in love, we can work together.

⑤ You must have the attitude to obey orders. A competent worker is one who clearly knows the master's will and does it. “They will make them as I commanded you” (11). All who serve and serve the Lord in the Lord's church must keep these words in mind. No matter how good you seem to have done in your own eyes or in the eyes of others, if God sees you and judges you as wrong, you are bound to become an evil servant. A good worker is a worker who obeys the Lord's commands without questioning them. We are not human workers. They are God's workers who were set up for God's work. I hope that you will become the most exemplary and faithful servants of God, and all the workers who can be praised for doing a good job when they stand before the Lord. May the Lord give us all the faith and strength we can bear.
