Title Exposition of Exodus (12)

Exodus 7:1-13
Moses was sent by God to go to Egypt, but everything did not go well from the beginning. King Pharaoh did not listen to Moses, and the people of Israel had a difficult and difficult life, but meeting Moses with Pharaoh resulted in aggravated suffering. For this, Moses had to listen to the complaints of the Israelites as well.
.
So Moses also lost his strength and became discouraged.
Moses is also human. No matter how much it is called the Lord's work, it doesn't go according to his will, and if you keep facing opposition, you will lose strength. Although King Pharaoh opposes it, it is very difficult to hear the complaints from the Israelites as well.
We can too. In doing the Lord's work, we may face difficulties both internally and externally. You may face difficulties from your unbelieving neighbors and relatives, or you may face difficulties from those who believe in you. then God
Encourage Moses. How do you encourage them?
Last week, God encouraged us to be together with a stronger power than Pharaoh. He also remembered the covenant he made with Israel and encouraged them to save Israel in order to keep that covenant.
1. How do we encourage you in today's Word?
1) He promised to make Moses like a god before Pharaoh.
This is to increase Moses' authority. Pharaoh is going to make Moses feel as big as the sky. But not now. Conversely. Pharaoh was heaven, and Moses was as small as a small stone before him. But God will turn it around later. Pharaoh will become afraid of Moses and will eventually kneel before Moses.
The stronger God's power was revealed through Moses, the more Pharaoh would fear Moses. Moses will grow and Pharaoh will grow smaller. Who exalts Moses so much? That's what God does. Moses is nothing personally, but when the God behind him is with him, the God who works in Moses is great, so Moses who has that God becomes great at the same time.
There is a reason why God gave Moses such grace.
In order to fulfill God's mission well. In order not to fall down while fulfilling the mission. We believe that the Lord who called us will even give us the power and gifts so that we can bear it.
Although there is nothing in us, we believe that the power and glory of the Lord will be revealed through us when God is with us. “We have put this treasure in earthen vessels so that it may be known that the exceeding greatness of power belongs to God and not to us. Ham” (2 Corinthians 4:7).
2) Know that it is God's will that Pharaoh behaves stubbornly. Some people see really stubborn people. It is strange to see that the heart has a heart that rejects God.
Seeing such a person is very difficult and difficult for us, but we have to look at it with the eyes of faith.
The fact that Pharaoh's heart was so stubborn was that God allowed it. In verse 3, to say that God did it means that God allowed it to be so. In fact, because Pharaoh came out stubbornly, the corresponding power of God was shown stronger. We must apply this truth well in our lives. In particular, it should be well applied to the people we are praying for to evangelize.
The more the subjects of evangelism pray, the more obstinate they come out. From a spiritual point of view, they do so so that God can receive great glory through them. Soft wood bends, but hard wood is difficult to bend. However, if a stronger force is applied, it will break.
the same Those who strongly oppose the gospel are more likely to believe it with certainty than those who say they will accept it but do not accept it (those who are thin). You are more likely to experience God's great grace and be changed. So do not be discouraged and keep praying.
2. God's View of Israel
It is a self-portrait. It's a self-portrait of how I think of myself. A person with a healthy self-portrait loves himself. Live with pride in yourself. She loves and likes her appearance, personality, everything. So I have confidence.
However, a person with a poor self-portrait lacks self-confidence.
can't even love yourself You are always comparing yourself to others and demeaning yourself. Because there is no healthy self-portrait. However, the self-portraits we have are often inaccurate.
Even though you are a really good person, you may think of yourself as a bad person, and some people overestimate themselves. Human evaluation is not accurate.
Whose evaluation is the most accurate?
God's evaluation What does God think of me? That's important. We need to know and accept what God thinks of us rather than what I think of me. That self-portrait is the most accurate and sound self-portrait.
How does God view the Israelites?
It was said to be the army of God (4).
The people of Israel now do not have an army.
Living as slaves in Egypt. What army do they have?
But God says they are God's army.
Why are the slaves of Egypt a part of God's army?
Because God will wage many spiritual wars with them.
The miracles God performed in Egypt were actually spiritual battles.
It was a battle against the gods that ruled Egypt. So it's a spiritual war.
The Egyptians worshiped the Nile itself and all the fish families and insects in it. Frogs, for example, were worshiped as the god Hektra, who helped women give birth.
The people of Israel are God's army fighting against their gods.
It was nothing when I looked at myself. was a slave He had no strength, no ability, and was caught up in a sense of defeat. But God called such people the glorious army of God. It is the most feared army in the world, where God is the leader. It is the strongest army that no one can defeat.
More important than what I think of myself is who I am before God. Knowing that will make you more confident and confident.
*First miracle - A taste of spiritual warfare, a game to warm up your body (8-12).
The miracle of the serpent becoming a staff was followed by the magicians of Egypt. Even non-believers have some power. They also use the power of their demons to exercise their powers. But it has its limits. The power of Almighty God and the power of demons cannot be compared. Finally, this game begins.
*The first plague - the plague of blood, even the magicians of Egypt follow it.
It was a spiritual clash (14-25). A spiritual clash continues.
The same goes for leaving Egypt. There were always enemies in the way of the Israelites. But the battle with those enemies was not a physical battle, but a spiritual battle. It was a battle between idols and God.
The battle was not settled in physical combat power. How much does Israel pray? How holy are you? It was decided by how much you obeyed the Word.
If you are holy and obedient, you always win. It was a hundred-and-a-half victory.
But if you sin and disobey, you are defeated. It's a spiritual battle. The leader of God's army is God Himself. So the people of Israel are God's army.
All the saints on this earth are also the army of God. We are fighting a spiritual battle. In order to win this battle, we must depend on God as our leader and live holy and pure. so you win
< Conclusion >
All of our lives are an extension of our spiritual warfare. You have to look at it from a spiritual point of view.
1. If we follow God's will, He will give us the strength to bear it.
2. Those who strongly oppose do so in order to give God great grace.
3. More important than how I see myself is how God sees me. Accept God's point of view.
