Title Exposition of the Book of Isaiah-12
Contents
1. People are not sensitive to the pain around them.
1) The suffering of others is thought of as theirs, not their own. : I hope
- When I see the death of people of the same age around me, I feel sad, but I am far from myself.
* Interested in many diseases, but easily forgotten.
* Interest in the present is much higher than the vague fear of the future.
* No matter how careful or vigilant you are, you will forget it over time.
* The gospel is obscured by the pursuit of present blessings by many.
* The story of the rich man and Lazarus in the Bible shows a person who is content with the present.
2) The Bible places the expectation of all blessings on the hope of heaven.
- The only pride people can enjoy in this world is their hard work and sorrow.
“Our years are seventy, and if we are strong, we are eighty years old, but their pride is only toil and sorrow; they go quickly, and we fly away” (Psalm 90:10).
* No matter how comfortable you are in this world, it is only a positive evaluation.
* The thorns and thistles that the world gives us are the circumstances caused by human sin.
* Many of the hardships we go through are only the journey to our true hometown.
* The life of a stranger is hard for everyone. Because of that, he misses the comfort of his hometown.
“Beloved, I urge you, as strangers and passersby, to control the lusts of the flesh, which war against the soul” (1 Peter 2:11).
* People who do not have a hometown only think of the present and try to fulfill their dreams on this earth.
* In other words, they want to think only while they live, find pleasure, and live their life full of pleasure.
“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God” (1 Corinthians 1:18).
* Some give their all to the eschatological present. (Heresy): Those who are ignorant of the Bible
* Wise people want to know the truth of what the Bible says.
2. The Bible offers a vision of the future, life after death, eternity. : main text
1) God gave man freedom about life on earth. : God is not a remote control.
- All people live according to what is right in their opinion on this earth. : free will
* God will surely judge everyone's life on earth.
* Don't ignore God's warnings just because you don't see anything right now.
* Those who do not believe in God do not believe in after death.
* Still, he fears death.
2) God fulfills according to God's promises (the Bible) at the appointed time.
- The new heavens and a new earth are given to all who are in the faith.
* Because this land is a place without hope, He prepares a new place.
“Do not let your hearts be troubled; believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many dwelling places, otherwise I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will will come again and receive you to Me, that where I am, there you may be” (John 14:1-3).
* There are no thorns and thistles, and there is no existence of sin, so it is a place of the highest value that people enjoy.
“I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and God dwells with them, and they shall be God's people, and God Himself was with them and wiped every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death, nor will there be any more mourning or crying or pain, for the first things have passed away. And he who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And he said to them, “Write, these words are faithful and true. He said, “It is done; I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last. I will give freely to the thirsty of the spring of the water of life, and he who overcomes will inherit these things. I will be his God, and he will be my son” (Revelation 21:3-7). )
* But all Christians have God's judgment. : The rank of the crown of righteousness.
* The freedom of the present should be used worthy of all time.
“For you, brothers, have been called to freedom, but do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another” (Galatians 5:13).
