Text: Genesis 1:1-5

< Text >

(Genesis 1:2) The earth was formless and empty, and darkness was over the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the waters.

(Genesis 1:3) God said, Let there be light, and there was light.

(Genesis 1:4) And God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness.

(Genesis 1:5) And he called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.

< Sermon >

I pray that God's grace and grace will overflow in your hearts, your families, your children, and your business and workplace as you worship on the first week of 2003.

Today, in the first week of 2003, I would like to tell you about the first day God created the heavens and the earth.

According to the Bible, God created the heavens and the earth in 6 days. On the first day, He created light.

“The earth was void and empty, and darkness was over the deep, and the Spirit of God moved on the waters to make light, and there was evening and there was morning, which is the first day.”

It can be seen that Koreans and Israelis have different ways of thinking, direction, and lifestyle.

Koreans say, "There was morning, and there was evening, and a day has passed," whereas the people of Israel think, "Evening passed and morning, and a day passed." The biblical account of the creation of the heavens and the earth also records that “there was evening and there was morning.”

Morning means hope and hope, and evening means destruction, darkness and pain.

Our thinking begins with hope and ends with despair, as seen in "No-Se, No-Se, No-Se when you're young" and "Hwamu 11-Hong". On the other hand, the Israeli national view believes that “evening and morning” begins with pain and darkness, but ends with morning hope and hope. I believe that this mindset allowed them to overcome a lot of pain and darkness for 2000 years, and it was a ritual that survived the slaughter of more than 6 million by the Nazis during World War II.

In the name of Jesus, I bless you and me that our thinking will start with the evening and end with the morning according to the word of God.

The second IMF in 2003, North Korea's nuclear issue, etc. We are starting with dinner. However, I pray in the name of Jesus that God will be with you and spend this year with a mindset that ends with a morning of hope and blessing.

I will tell you three stories about how God created light on the first day.

1. In 2003, I bless you in the name of Jesus to live in anticipation of good things.

God created the heavens and the earth in six days, and God saw that it was good.

He created all things in the universe to be good and beautiful, and in the end He created man and gave everything so that we can worship, praise, enjoy, and live God.

God has given us good things! We believe and expect that good things will be given to us in 2003 as well, and we believe that we should pray and live while looking at the blessings that have been prepared for us.

“Everything that God gives us is good.” Sometimes pain can come while you are living your life of faith. Remember that even pain is given because the end result is good. Even the greatest king in Israel's history, "King David", became even greater because of the suffering he fell during his youth. Through Saul's discipline and living in the cave of Adullam, he tasted the bitter taste of life, and knew what the pain, hunger, and tears of the common people were, so he became a king who could heal each of them as a man of God. The immediate pain seems difficult, but the pain comes to the realization that it was a good thing and a good thing.

Please live while praying, expecting that good things will be given to you in 2003. Even if the things you give are sometimes painful, I ask you to live, remembering that they are all good things that we cannot know but will help you later in the name of Jesus.

2. Please set your own vision and goals.

God made the heavens and the earth in order on the first, second, and third days in perfect harmony and in a meticulous plan and purpose. I believe that we should also set and look at the vision and goals that God has given us.

It is said that only 3% of people in the world set a goal, desire it the most, and live to achieve it.

Everyone! As we enter the year 2003, I hope that God-given visions and goals will be set with meticulous planning and prayer. In the name of Jesus, I pray for you and me who aspire to achieve it.

As Dr. Paul Miner, who became a millionaire in his thirties, said, "It was my life's goal setting that made me a millionaire in my thirties." It is said that he made a plan for the year, a plan for a month, and a plan for the day and put it into practice.

I also set a goal for the day and put it into practice. One day when I prayed at night, I fell asleep thanking God, saying that I had well spent the 24 hours God gave me. However, if you are lazy, annoyed, and go through life, you get confused, regret, and regret when you pray at night.

There is a big difference between a life with a goal, a life that longs for it, and a life that just passes by. I believe that God will give you good things. It is not a vaguely good thing, but I bless you in the name of Jesus that you look at God's goal for you in faith every day.

3. God has acted.

“God acts, and I act” He acted in 1:2, “Before there was light, he moved in darkness.” He called for light. In the Bible, Jesus said, "God works, and I work." If both God and Jesus worked, we must also act. We ask that you also look at the visions God has given you and act and work to achieve them, in the name of Jesus. According to the Bible, God is the Lord who does things, the Lord who builds them and fulfills them. We also believe that we should set goals and do our best to achieve them.

I believe that God will lead us to a good purpose when we go out into action. According to the Bible, the people of God acted. God indents those who act. Just as the 75-year-old Abraham living in Ur of the Chaldeans followed God's command to leave and depart for Canaan, seeing his "faith in action," God indented him and blessed him.

Peter, who walked on the sea by faith, also showed “faith in action by jumping into the sea.”

<Conclusion>

God has made the heavens and the earth into good things.

In 2003, we have to look forward to what God will give us. Sometimes pain comes, but it comes because it is necessary, and it is all good. Second, what God gives should not be vague. We believe that we need to set a clear vision and goal for what it is, and take action to achieve it. In the name of Jesus, I pray that it will be a blessed year in which we look at the visions God has given us in the year 20003 every day, yearn for them, and do our best to enjoy many fruits and the good things the Lord has given us.
