Title Focus on God (Genesis 31:13-20)
Praise Chapter 85
Text (Genesis 31:13-20)
13 I am the God of Bethel, and there you anointed the stake and made a vow to me there. Now get up, leave this place, and return to your place of birth.
14 Rachel and Leah answered him, "Do we have any portion or inheritance in our father's house?
15 Since our father sold us and ate all our money, does not he regard us as strangers?
16 The riches that God took from our father belong to us and to our children. Now do all that God has told you.
17 Then Jacob got up and put his children and wives on camels.
18 And he took all the beasts he had acquired and all that he had, the animals he had obtained from Paddan-aram, to go to his father Isaac in the land of Canaan.
19 Then Laban went to shear the sheep, and Rachel stole her father's teraphim.
20 And Jacob did not tell Laban the Syrian of his whereabouts, but left quietly.
The second mistake is not to rely on God, but to feel comfortable relying on something God hates. If you don't get rid of the familiar behavior you've been doing, God won't be at the center. Therefore, when we embark on the journey of faith, we should go out with an attitude of fear of God, not of fear of the world.
In conclusion, we are people who do God's work. Therefore, we must do it the way God wants us to do from beginning to end. We should all focus on God as people on the path of faith. Since we do not lose our minds to anything other than God, I earnestly pray that God will lead our path, me and you.
