Title For the perfect life of saints1
Content For the perfect life of the saints (Romans 12:1)
People who immigrate to a foreign country have anxiety. It is not easy for the few to survive among the many. In this world, people who believe in Jesus are a minority, so we also have fear in order to coexist with the non-believers who are the majority. So, how should we live the world wisely? He wants to learn the wisdom from Abraham, who left his hometown and settled in the land of Canaan and lived victoriously as a stranger for 62 years.
Second, Abraham usually increased his strength. According to verse 14, Abraham had 318 soldiers who were raised and trained at home. It means that we were preparing for a crisis that we don't know when it would normally happen. Why did Abraham, who came to Canaan after receiving God's promise to protect him thoroughly, were training private soldiers in his house? Abraham was a man who fully believed in God's protection and help, but he felt he needed to build up his strength to protect his own safety and property. What we need to remember is that the Holy Spirit and faith do not do it for us to build strength, but we have to do it. The sad thing is that, among the many people who believe in Jesus, there are a lot of people who have superstitious thoughts such as, “All you have to do is pray” and “If you live your life of faith well, God will do everything for you.” That's true, of course, but it's half biblical and half superstitious. There are things God is doing and there are things I have to do. If you want to glorify God, influence society, and touch the hearts of unbelievers, then build strength.
Third, Abraham lived a separate life. After saving all the people of Sodom, Abraham returned with the spoils and did not take any of the spoils because he did not want to hear that he had become rich because of the king of Sodom. Abraham clearly showed them the belief that the blessings, life and death of mankind, were in God's hands. Therefore, you should not flatter or extend your hand to people. If you show your dignity and integrity as God's people, the people of the world will be moved. When the world sees us and feels, “Obviously we are different,” respect comes from their hearts. As a result of Abraham's separation, people in the land of Canaan came to reverence him as a leader from heaven (Gen. 23:6). Remember that we all live in a dark world, and we are separated from all the people of the world through a life of separation and a life of light. I congratulate you on becoming a 'person from heaven'.
