Title: For you!

Text: 2 Corinthians 8:9

People ask 'why?' when they don't understand something or other people's thoughts are different from their own. In particular, there are many differences between God's thoughts and ours, so when we believe in God, we often ask the question, 'God, why?'.

“God, why did you create the tree of knowledge?”

“God, why do you allow the world to be so evil?”

“God, why is this ordeal coming upon me?”

And looking at the Bible, we ask the question 'God, why?' countless times. In response to this 'God, why?' question, sometimes God immediately tells you the reason, but sometimes God doesn't tell you the reason immediately and makes you realize the reason only later.

And sometimes we don't really teach you why, and we can put off the answer until the day when we are transformed into the image of the Lord.

However, one thing is clear about 'God, why?' Since God is a good God, when he does everything he does, he does it 'for you'.

A clear belief in this fact can eliminate distrust and misunderstanding between God and us. And if we believe in this fact, our anxieties and worries can be turned into peace and rest.

Guys, I have an only daughter. Her name is 'Kim Joo-hee'. His hair and eyes are black, and his skin color is yellow. He has the appearance of a typical Korean.

Also, I attend Elboya School, which is a school with few Asians, so Canadians often say that my daughter is 'cute'. Of course, I resemble my father and mother, but there are times when I look pitiful and pitiful when I look at my children. Because they are a little taller than their peers.

So me and my family often say this to our daughter. "Joohee, eat rice. Eat more!" Then my daughter had a distasteful expression on her face and said, "Why do my mom and dad always tell me to eat and eat?"

Then my husband and I always reply like this, "Dude, it's all for you! Ah.. you have to eat well to be tall and healthy!" And when this child grows up, we will be saying things like any other parent often. "Baby, study."

Then my daughter will say it again. “Why do my mom and dad always look at me and tell me to study and study?” Then we will answer this again. "Baby, it's all for you!"

Ladies and gentlemen, when parents tell their children, 'Eat, study,' may sometimes sound incomprehensible and annoying to their children, but the heart of parents is saying 'for their children'. Likewise, everything that God does is done 'for us'.

In Genesis 1, we see the words, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” After that, God said, 'Let there be light,' and there is a scene where God continues to make the world.

Why does God make the world? The reason is that on the last 6 days, He was made in His own image 'for man'.

God made the world 'for man' and 'for you and me' and made the Garden of Eden. And 'for you and me' He filled the earth with oxygen, and 'for you and me' He made the earth rain and shine.

Ladies and gentlemen, never forget that just as parents are for their children, so God is working 'for us' and for the better of us.

One day, God said to Abraham: “Abraham, take your only son, Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah and offer it as a burnt offering.”

At that time, because his faith grew, Abraham said, 'Amen!' He obeyed and went to the place God had directed, but he must have asked these questions countless times along the way. "God, why do you want me to kill my only son? God, did you not turn around?"

But God did not explain to Abraham every detail of what He was doing. In the end, Abraham draws his sword to kill his beloved only son, Isaac.

Just then an angel of God appeared and spoke. "Abraham, Abraham, do not lay your hands on the child. You have not withheld your only son, and now I know that you fear God. Therefore I will bless you and multiply your seed greatly, like the stars in the sky, and by the sea. I will make you like the sand of

Abraham didn't know what God was doing at first, but he realized it only after he obeyed. "Aha, God has tested me to give me great blessings!

And Abraham was able to praise God even more when he realized the God who prepared 'Jehovah Jireh' who was working 'for himself'.

Take the case of Joseph. At the age of 17, he was sold as a slave by being trafficked in human beings because of the envy and jealousy of his half-brothers. And I wanted to get approval from General Potiphar's house, but he was falsely framed again and was sentenced to prison for several years.

He must have asked the question 'God, why?' countless times whenever he suffered. But God did not explain or answer him why.

Thirteen years passed and he was 30 years old when he became the prime minister of Egypt, until he realized, "Aha, God put me in trouble!", so that I can understand and believe in God more clearly. has been

Guys, aren't things happening to you right now that you can't quite comprehend? Aren't you asking the question, 'God, why?' like Abraham and Joseph.

There is a very clear and precise answer to this question. It's just 'for you'. God said, "This is happening to bless you, to make you happy, to use you as my instrument, and to make you mine."

Ladies and gentlemen, when a man and a woman get married and live, we do not understand the thoughts and actions of the other person, so we sometimes ask this question. "God, why?"

And I see that it takes a little longer for most couples to get an answer to this question.

Look at Jacob. He loved his uncle's second daughter, Rachel. So I made an appointment with my maternal uncle to welcome her as a bride, and worked hard for her for 7 years.

And in return for the service, the wedding was finally held and Jacob had his first night with the bride he loved so much.

But what is this? When Jacob wakes up in the morning, he finds next to him, not Rachel, but Leah, the second daughter of his maternal uncle, who is not very good-looking. In other words, Jacob was a fraudulent marriage.

At this time, Jacob was angry with his maternal uncle and said, 'God, why?' I would have asked the question countless times. But God did not give him an immediate answer.

However, as many years passed, Jacob found that the fraudulent marriage had become a disgrace. He gave birth to 6 sons through his maternal uncle's eldest daughter, Leah, and among them, the tribe of Judah, the ancestor of Jesus Christ, was also born in Leah's womb, realizing, "Aha, God has done this for me!" I could be a person of faith to be thankful for.

The same goes for doing the Lord's work. Because God's ways and ours can sometimes be wrong, we often get confused and ask, 'God, why?'

And we may need a little more time to get an answer to this.

However, if there is one thing that is clear, all of God's purposes are 'for you'.

All that Jesus appeared on this earth was 'for your sake', and the things that he suffered from being whipped and lived in poverty were all 'for your sake'. Regarding this, the Bible says:

“JX was made manifest for you in these last days” (1 Peter 1:20).

“Today in the city of David a Savior has been born to you, who is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:11).

“Christ suffered for you” (1 Peter 2:21).

“This is my blood for you, and my body for you” (Luke 22:19-20).

You know the grace of our Lord JX, that for your sake he became poor..."

(Text) "He will also prepare a place for you" (John 14:3)

Jx's entire life was dedicated 'for you'. And J came today as a Holy Spirit and continues to work 'for you'.

Ladies and gentlemen, do not forget that the purpose for which the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, and the Triune God appeared among us is 'for you'.

Even if we do not understand because our understanding is dull now, do not forget the faithfulness of God. Don't doubt his skills.

He knows it all. He knows the past, the present and the future, and knows what is good for us and what is best for us.

Today, he tells us this.

“My children, I am working for you today.” Amen!
