Title Full Tithing (2)/Proverbs 3:9-10

Full Tithing (2)

Proverbs 3:9-10

All of man's existential purpose and significance as a man exists for God's sake. So Solomon said, "It is man's duty to fear God and keep his commandments" (Ecclesiastes 12:13).

In Isaiah 43:7, the prophet Isaiah says, “Let them come whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.”

The purpose of man's creation was to be created as a means for the glory of God. Therefore, man must mobilize the entire creation that God has given him to serve God, please God, and glorify God (Ecclesiastes 12:13).

Proverbs 3:9-10 says, "Honor the LORD with your offerings and with the firstfruits of your produce, and your storehouses will be full, and your presses will overflow with new wine." The tithe is consecrated as a confessional sign of fear of God. Tithing is an important part of God's people's worship of God.

1. Different Types of Tithing

1) Opposite type

① This is human-centered thinking, but the New Testament age is the age of grace and salvation.

②The claim is that the owner of the sacrifice is the person himself.

③ It is because the income is low.

④ The reason is that we cannot give tithing because it is too much.

⑤ The reason is that there is no basis for calculating tithing.

⑥ The reason is that the church is using the donations incorrectly.

⑦ This is the reason that tithing cannot be legalized.

2) The type of reluctant giving

① It is to pay out of a sense of duty (forced) (Ephesians 6:6-7, 2 Corinthians 8:7).

② It is paid out of fear of God's punishment.

③ It is to give according to your own feelings (Proverbs 3:9).

④ Resonanceism, face, and showing off as much as you can. Such donations are not advisable.

3) Types of ups and downs tithing

① It is a kind of common-sense notion of blessing.

② It is given with the heart of offering some kind of bribe(?) to God.

③ He is the type of person who regards tithing as a blessing.

④ Tithing cannot be an act of commerce with God.

4) A type of offering for the purpose of sustaining the church

I believe that tithing offering is a decisive force in the financial management of the church. Nevertheless, the driving force that sustains and revives the church is the Lord Himself and the work of the Holy Spirit. For this reason, tithing payers mistakenly believe that they are the masters of the church.

5) The type of offering for the purpose of the glory of God

① Tithing is a faith that believes that tithing is an act of obedience to God's supreme command.

② The idea is to give as a means of glory to love, serve, and please God.

③ Whether we eat or drink or whatever we do, we do it for the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31).

Andrian Rogers said, "Tithing is a way of showing who God is, because it is a means of growing our faith in you through tithing." Tithing is one of the items of holy worship to serve God.

2. Answers to practical questions about tithing

1) Is the tithe the whole of the yearbook?

The biblical principle says that tithing is not the whole of an annual report. There is a yearbook of thanksgiving that has nothing to do with tithing.

2) Is the tithe the highest amount in the annual report?

The annual tithe is in fact the lowest basic duty ordained of God's material blessings to us humans.

3) Will tithing be calculated from gross income? Or will you do it from net gain?

The Bible says tithe of income (Luke 18:12). It is also called a full tithe (Mal 3:10). We should consider it worthy to give one tenth of our total income to the Lord.

4) Is the amount of tithing so small that I have to pay it even though it is a shame?

Of course you have to give. There is nothing to be ashamed of because the amount is small. Because it's not mine, it's God's.

5) What if the amount of tithing is too high?

If my tithing increased, it was because of God's blessings. And it's not mine.

6) Is the church the only storehouse to pay tithing?

That's right. It's just the church. The Bible says, “Give tithes to the storehouse, that there may be food in my house” (Malachi 3:10).

7) What is the right thing to do when you cannot afford to pay tithing?

To be discriminated against because you are poor is spiritual poverty. The widow gave all her living expenses.

8) Is it right to tithe even when sitting in debt?

When you are sitting in debt, you have to tithe to pay off your debt. In fact, if you pay all your debts and pay tithing, you will not be able to tithe for the rest of your life.

9) Should children who dictate their pocket money from their parents also have to tithe?

It should be given from a religious education level. It will be of great benefit to cultivate a sense of gratitude to God and hope for future blessings through the practice of tithing.

10) Do I have to pay tithing when I receive severance pay or an inheritance?

Of course you have to give. Some argue that severance pay is outside the tithe we have been giving out of our gross earnings for years and steadily. In a way, that seems right. But in reality it is not. Tithing is one of the most gracious acts of salvation.

conclusion

The principle for a person to live well and be happy is not determined by the person himself/herself. It was ordained by God, who created the world and its laws and made people live.

Tithing is a command from God. It is a blessing command. It is the command of the hopeful promise that God will be glorified and life will go well.

"How can a man steal what is God's? But you steal mine, and say, How did we steal the Lord's? These are tithes and offerings. You are cursed because you, the whole nation, have stolen what is mine. I bring your whole tithe into storehouses, so that there may be food in my house, says the LORD, and I will not open the gates of heaven and pour it out so that there is no place for you to accumulate a blessing. Behold, says the LORD of hosts, I I will forbid locusts, so that the produce of your land will not be destroyed, and that the fruit of the vines will not fall before the due date in your fields, so that the nations will call you blessed because your land is beautiful, says the LORD of hosts.” (Malachi 3:8-12) ).
