Title: Faith Changes Me
Text: Galatians 2:15-21
“For we were originally Jews and not sinners of Gentiles, but knowing that a person is not justified by works of the law, but through faith in Jesus Christ, we also believe in Christ Jesus, because we is to be justified by faith in the law, there is no body to be justified by the works of the law. If we try to be justified in Christ and appear to be sinners, is Christ a sinner? If I rebuild things, I make myself a transgressor,
I died through the law to the law, that I might live to God. I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. To live by faith in the Son of God, who gave himself up.”
1, to be justified by faith in Christ
2, Christ lives in me.
3, to live for God.
Numbers 6:22-17 "Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, "Bless you for the sake of the children of Israel, saying, The LORD bless you and keep you, and the LORD will Let the light shine upon you and be gracious to you, and the Lord will turn his face toward you and give you peace.” So they shall bless the children of Israel in my name, and I will bless them.”
4, to live by faith. That is, we live in Jesus.
First, belief causes a change of character.
Ephesians 4:22-24 "Put off the old man, which is corrupt according to the lusts of deceit, but be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new man, which after God was created in righteousness and holiness of truth." Hymn 208 "The Lord Jesus came into my heart, and I am changed and become a new person" The new person is changed through faith. It is formed in Jesus. To become a new creation in Christ is through the power of the Holy Spirit.
The change of the apostle Paul brought about a change of the whole person in Jesus Christ
Mormon's change was an experiential change in himself, and it was a guidebook to change the believers and demonstrated the practical power of life.
Men and women, regardless of age or gender, racial discrimination, the rich or the poor, the poor will bring about a personal change that considers others better than themselves in any circumstances, and it is to put consideration for others first and put it into practice.
Second, belief can change your life.
James 2:14-18 "My brethren, what profit is it if a man says he has faith and has no works? can that faith save him? And he said to them, "Go in peace, keep warm, and fill yourself up." What profit does it have if you do not give the body anything necessary for it? In this way, faith without works is dead in itself. Show me your faith that you don't have, and I will show you my faith by what I do."
James 2:26 “As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead.
Emphasis is placed on faith, practice, and life in action. If you do not realize your life, the result will be heresy and there will be no fruit.
The spirit of changeable people is self-controlled, not harming others,
And it is to be considerate of others by working hard first, to find satisfaction in one's own life and reality and to enjoy happiness, and to live a life full of hope with the sure hope of heaven
Third, faith has eternal hope.
Hebrews 11:1-2 “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen, by which the forefathers obtained the evidence.”
Hebrews 11:8-12 “By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called and went out to a land he would receive as an inheritance, and went out, not knowing where he was going. And they dwelt in tents with Isaac and Jacob, who also inherited the inheritance, because they were looking forward to a city that God had designed and built, and by faith Sarah herself too, although she was old and fruitless, was able to conceive, because the one who promised was faithful. I know you will
Therefore, through one man resembling the dead, he became as numerous as the stars in the sky and the countless sands on the seashore.”
Joseph's hope had a vision of a dream Joshua's hope had a vision of promise
They weren't about their own publicity or achievements, like Father Damian, a woman like Elizabeth, Sister Teresa, a beautiful young woman who lived a life of contentment with sacrifice.
Fourth, faith brings the result of the practice of love.
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."
1 John 4:8-10 “He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
And this was how the love of God was revealed to us, because God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Here is love, not that we loved God, but that God loved us and was a propitiation for our sins. I had an opportunity to meet Mr. Jung-sook Lee. I saw the fruits of overcoming the hardships I had in the past. It is necessary to change the other person, but the change of my personality comes first, "Chicago Presbyterian Church" motto It was beautiful to see all the members of the church working hard for their own change with the content of “Saints whose lives are changed by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
Philippians 1:20-21 “According to my earnest expectations and hopes, I will not be ashamed of anything, but, as before, I still have complete courage, that Christ may be glorified in my body, whether in life or death. "Romans 14:8 If we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord; therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord's." 1 Corinthians 10:31 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God. .
[Hallelujah Immanuel Jehovah Nissi Amen]
