Title Galatians 02:8-10 Workers like pillars

Content Title: Worker like a pillar

Text: Galatians 2:8-10

I pray that God's great and wonderful grace and love will be with you.

People are great politicians. soldier. Scholar. businessmen. It is a word of respect for those who have made proud achievements in history, such as artists, and is said to be a great timber or pillar of the country.

Even in our Bible, those who live worthy lives for the kingdom of God are said to be like pillars.

1. Jeremiah 1:18 - God told Jeremiah to make it a strong city, iron pillars, and bronze walls.

2. Revelation 3:12 - It is said that God makes those who overcome become pillars of the temple.

3. God used Moses as a pillar for Israel when he left Egypt.

4. David was used as the pillar of united Israel.

5. You used John the Baptist as a pillar to prepare the way for Jesus.

In the text, Paul said that among Jesus' disciples, James and Cephas, Peter and John, were regarded as pillars. Paul saw them as precious as pillars.

Even today, we need people as precious as pillars.

We would like to think a few things about the conditions and work to be done as a pillar to be used honorably, not as a firewood and not a persimmon.

First: It is a condition to become a pillar.

1. The pillar must be large.

The size of the timber to build a house depends on the size of the house, its size, and its purpose, but the pillars are the most important timber in the construction of the house.

Therefore, according to the size and purpose of the building, the one with a larger thickness or height is selected.

The same goes for human lumber.

Often we say that the barrel is large. A lot of waste is different.

There are too many people who know how to waste but are narrow-minded. There are many people who are generous when it comes to showing off their faces, being kind and gaining popularity, but being stingy when it comes to essential tasks. This isn't a big bin, it's a wastage.

A person who is stingy, cold-hearted, and turned away from me is not a big pillar at all, regardless of whether I like him or his popularity. He who is generous with men but stingy with God is not a great pillar.

Even if it is a pity that such timber was used as a pillar, for the purpose and status of the building, if good timber is available, it will have no choice but to bury it.

Workers who will be used as pillars of the church must have a rich personality. Otherwise, God will give up the pillar.

God gave up Saul and re-established David for Israel.

I pray in the name of the Lord that I can live the blessed life of being chosen like David.

2. Posts must be straight.

An improperly installed pole cannot be used. Therefore, the column must be straight.

The pillars of large buildings are made of wood, concrete or hardware.

The column must not be crooked or twisted. When this happens, it cannot withstand the load and bends or breaks, causing the building to fall.

Therefore, any thoughtful and wise person will immediately remove such a pillar and replace it with a straight, upright pillar.

People are different on the outside and different on the inside. A person who complains and is crooked in everything. A modern version of Nolbu who can't see others doing well. A person with a perverse mindset that always criticizes and gives reasons for what others do is not a straight and upright pillar.

The workers who will be used as pillars of the church must have the same exterior and interior.

A person who says this in front of that person and turns around and speaks differently in front of another person is not an upright pillar.

Even if it is right, a person who does not accept when someone else did it and not I did it is not a straight and upright pillar.

A life that follows the path of God's Word while keeping one's heart, thoughts, words, and actions in line with the standard of God's Word becomes a life of living upright pillars.

In the name of the Lord, I pray in the name of the Lord that you will become a pillar of blessing God uses by living upright and upright lives of the saints under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

3. The column must be solid. Columns are always subjected to heavy loads. So the pillar must be solid and strong.

The column must not break or bend under any impact or load.

The workers of the church, the pillars of the church, must have this solid strength. This solid power is what the saints call faith.

The believers must have the strength of faith to overcome any heavy force and shock.

Even if there is a small difficulty, if you get scared and go back and forth, it becomes worthless as a pillar.

The master will cast iron if it doesn't work, if it doesn't, he'll concrete it.

I bless you in the name of the Lord that you may become a strong pillar in the Lord's church, and that it will not be uprooted and be used preciously in the name of the Lord.

4. The pillar must be sacrificed.

No matter how good a tree is, it must be cut and trimmed before it can be used as lumber. No matter how good the metal, it can be used only if it is refined.

Even workers like the pillars of the church cannot play the role of pillars unless they are sacrificed.

No matter how good a tree is, it is cut down, so it is used as a pillar.

Church workers must also deny themselves and crucify flesh and blood, breaking away from the selfish thoughts of worldly pleasures and self-satisfaction, just as a tree must be cut down from its roots in order to be used as a valuable pillar.

I pray in the name of the Lord that you will not be a forsaken person who is wrapped in the world's pleasures and self-satisfaction, and then one day is thrown into the furnace and burned. do.

5. Posts must be trimmed.

A good pole cuts off unnecessary branches, peels them, trims and cuts them to the required dimensions.

Workers who are good pillars of the church should have education and training rather than knowledge or outstanding skills.

The blood he originally had. Pride. greed. obscene. complain. You must cut out bad habits such as stubbornness and habitual character.

Like a carpenter trimming a tree. As a stonemason cuts a stone. Just as an ironsmith sharpens iron, the pillars of the church must refine themselves with the Word of God.

Moses was trained for 40 years in the royal palace and 40 years in the wilderness of Midian.

Paul refined himself for 3 years in the Arabian wilderness (Galatians 1:17-18)

Paul said in 1 Corinthians 9:27, "I beat my body into subjection, lest, after I have preached to others, I myself will be rejected."

We pray that we can always refine ourselves with the Word and receive the blessing of workers like pillars in the Lord's Church.

Second: what the pillars are supposed to do.

1. The pole must be in place.

The pillars must make the building complete and safe.

When the column goes over, the wall goes over and the rafters go down, and the building itself goes over.

In any case, the columns must support the building.

For that to happen, the pole must be in place. A pillar must have a place to stand.

If the pillar does not stand where it should stand and stands in the wrong place, it becomes useless, and the building becomes weak and collapses.

When the members of the church, who are workers like pillars of the church, stand in their respective positions and fulfill their duties, the church can stand upright and strong.

If even one of the pillars is out of position, the building will fall over and break and injure itself and other pillars.

I pray that you will become the Blessed Saints who are God's workers who are like pillars who are always used in their proper positions.

2. The pillars should reveal the dignity of the building.

The pillars stand on solid rock and stand tall, straight and upright, revealing the dignity of the building.

The pillars built on the rock will not tip over or topple over, degrading the building's dignity.

Jude 1:20 "Beloved, building yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit."

And it blends well with other timbers to form a beautiful building.

This is a beautiful harmony between saints.

Dear brothers and sisters, the Lord wants us to be large, straight, strong, and beautiful pillars in His church.

When Jesus prays in Gethsemane, not my will, but your will. Therefore, I bless you in the name of the Lord that you may be blessed with God's great grace and love by living the precious life of the saints who fulfill the Lord's will just as God's will was accomplished and His glory was revealed.
