Title: Foolish Man
Text: Galatians 3:1-29
==================================================== =================
We were human beings who were lowly and disrespected in the world. So King David believed and told him not to become like horses and mules. In this chapter, Paul emphasizes, “begin with the Spirit and do not end with the flesh”. Humans have an inherent "earth instinct". I have a desire to return home. When it is time to die, salmon return to their hometown, lay eggs, and die. But what's the problem with "homing instinct"?
The problem arises from the fact that the Israelites long for the "old life" to which they belonged, corrupted and carnal, just as the Israelites longed for the corrupt life of Egypt when they came out of the palace. What we must remember clearly is that the homeland to which human beings return is not "the place of birth" nor "this world", but "heaven". The hymn also has the lyrics, “My hometown, Heaven to return to.” There is no development or growth for a person who lives buried in the old customs and past. Galatians 3 lists the foolish Galatian saints who begin with the flesh and are born again with the Spirit, and the foolish Galatians who begin with the Spirit and end with the flesh.
1. A fool to return to the ordinances of the law
1) Why did the Galatians say they were foolish? (1-3)
(1) It was because they were tempted and corrupted even though it was clearly visible in front of their eyes that Jesus was crucified. Jesus died on the cross for human sins. He suffered for the sins of mankind. There is only one human Savior, Jesus.
When faith is weakened, the mind becomes negative or passive, the judgment becomes clouded, and the behavior becomes dull and resembles an unbeliever.
(2) Beware of deception.
Satan's deception is always present in our lives. think. judgment. knowledge. cloud wisdom. So, sincere people are rare and they are after them. We must remember that the deceiver will be deceived because of it, and it is the evidence that the heart is corrupted and will go to hell. If you deceive and repent of your sins, you are forgiven, but those who do not repent cannot be forgiven.
(3) It is because they do not know how they received the Holy Spirit. (2)
The Apostle Paul said, "Did you receive the Holy Spirit by works of the law? By hearing and by faith?" about the Galatian saints being tempted by false teachers. is asking The Holy Spirit came upon the members of the early church. {Acts 2:3 8:17 10:44 19:6-7} However, these things were not accomplished by the works of the law, but by believing and receiving Christ entirely. According to Matthew 8:13, the centurion's servant was healed by faith. The blind opened their eyes with their own faith {Ma(;29-30})
17:20} On the contrary, he said that nothing is impossible for those who believe {Mark 9:23}
We should note that faith is pisteos, which means "faith and its works." What should be noted is that by believing in Christ, we are saved, answered, and guided by the Holy Spirit. People are confused because they do not understand the function of the law.
=The law is=
==================================================== ===============
It plays the role of a “student” who discovers sin and leads people to Christ.{24} The Law ends its role when it leads people to Christ. Instead, the law becomes a "law of freedom" to the believer. {James 1:25} The law of liberty is what the believer is free to keep according to his or her beliefs, thereby bringing order and blessing to personal, family, and neighborhood ethics and morals.
{4}It is because they begin with the Spirit and want to finish with the flesh.{3}
The beginning of the Holy Spirit is understood only by reading Philippians 1:6,
The Holy Spirit calls, experiences, and sanctifies in us long ago. Even now, without rest, he is working in me. But at midday, will a humble man fall into "the flesh, lust and temptation" and perish? are asking questions
*Who is the one who finished with the body?
Those who focus only on their own work {Proverbs 14:14}
Those who live a life of lawlessness {Matthew 24:12}
One who puts his hand to the plow and looks back {Luke 9:62}
Those who want to return to the past {Galatians 4:9}
Those who turn back {Hebrews 10:38}
Those who forsook their first love {Rev 2:4}
* What about the actions of those who perished in the flesh?
The nation of Israel {Ex 32:1 32:8}
To tolerate a wife's idolatry {1 Kings 11:4}
Not serving fully {2 Chronicles 25:2}
Those who want to stop believing (Luke 8:13)
Those who love the world {2 Timothy 4:10}
Everything is easy to start. It is also difficult. It is also easy to believe. But it is difficult to keep and stand firm. Also, it is difficult for unbelievers to believe in the first place. However, once the chosen one begins to believe, they change easily and quickly. But those who believe and know and give up in the end are fools. Because I want to finish in the body.
2} How did the Galatians believe?{4-5}
{1}It took a lot of hard work to believe
Suffering is the Epa Detta. It means "to suffer. To suffer." It means that the Galatians also suffered "persecution" for believing in Jesus. {super} If the persecution and suffering they experienced before "passing through the flesh" were "futile"
said The Apostle Paul said how much it would be a waste if that happened.
* As believers, we must make sure that our labor is not in vain. "Is it in vain" is an eike, meaning "useless, useless, useless," etc. {vain} Suffering and hard work and service are a personal reward. However, it is of no avail if you accumulate it and "finish it in the flesh. Therefore, I hope you have patience and trust in God, who gives you a harvest as you sow" {2 Corinthians 5:10}
{2} What has God given to believers?{5}
1/ He gave the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is God.{Isa 61:1} It is the Spirit of Christ.{Romans 8:9} Also called God {Acts 5:3-4} The Holy Spirit teaches and comforts {John 14:26} {Acts 9:31 } He helps {Rom 8:26] He grieves {Isa 63:10} The Holy Spirit is in the heart of man.
{Ezekiel 36:27 John 14:17} Therefore, the Apostle Paul said that he is not a Christian without the Holy Spirit {Romans 8:9}
*Who is the Holy Spirit?
They are talented {Ex 31:3} and prophesy {Numbers 11:25} Strong {Judges 14:6} They are wise {John 14:26} But when a person sins, the Holy Spirit goes away {Genesis 6:3 1 Samuel 14 Psalm 51:11}
2/How does the Holy Spirit work?
Paul said that it is necessary to know clearly whether the work of the Holy Spirit is “a work of the law, or does it come from hearing and faith? Salvation. The work of the Holy Spirit.
stated that it would be done.
*When you act by faith?
Become a child of God {John 1:12 7:38}
Prayers will be answered {Matthew 21:22}
Power will come {John 14:22, Romans 10:11, Colossians 1:23}
The rest of the soul is coming {Hebrews 4:3}
receive an inheritance {approximately 2:5}
Gain confidence {1 John 5:14}
3}Relationship between Abram and the believer{6-9}
(1) What was Abram's faith?
"Believe in Q," he said. This word means “believe, trust, trust, believe.” It means that Abram trusted God and acted according to his words. Then God saw Abraham’s “trust and faith” and regarded it as “righteousness.” Righteousness means “righteousness of faith.”
* What is the righteousness of faith?
Ham 2:4 Romans 5:1 Gal 3:6 Phil 3:9
*What is Avran's faith?
have obedient faith
no selfishness
have no courage
Faithful to the basic mission of faith
white hands
sacrifice the only son
(2) Believers are descendants of Abraham.(7)
Abram was justified by "works of faith", not "justified" by "works of the law." Abram's lineage descendants are "Jews." But those who came by faith were the spiritual "faith" of Abram.
are descendants of
(3) Let's look at God's covenant
In the Old Testament, God said, "The Gentiles will be blessed through you" to emphasize that even Gentiles will be "saved" through "faith."
*The conversion of the Gentiles is foretold.
Genesis 22:18 Psalm 86:9 Hosea 2:23 Ephesians 3:6
Returning from the New Testament Acts 11:1 13:48 15:7
* What is God's covenant?
What makes believers very prosperous
to give the land of Canaan
Peace and the priesthood.
God does not break covenants. Therefore, do not make a covenant with people. If the covenant is firmly established, the descendants will remain forever. If the covenant is broken, there will be discipline.
