Title: Finding the Owner
Text: Galatians 5:1
It is the 82nd anniversary of the 3.1 Movement. The March 1st Movement was a movement that shouted to the whole world that we were the masters of this land when the Japanese came to this land and pretended to be their masters and made us their slaves. It was life-threatening. It was like the cry of "Give me freedom or death." It was a declaration that we, Koreans, were the owners of the lost river and mountain and that we were going to find it. However, today, less than 100 years later, there are so many things that the owner cannot be found even if the owner is found.
1. Things looking for a master
There are lost and found centers on trains and train stations. There are many lost and found waiting for their owners. There are places like that in schools. Some of them are quite valuable. Nevertheless, it is said that very few people come to visit.
That often happens at airports too. Illegal contraband seeking its owner. Although they are very valuable, it is said that items whose owners do not appear because of fear of responsibility often appear. So are public facilities. There is no owner. So, even if the person you care for is responsible and there is no one to take care of it, even if you pay money and give a ball, it becomes an abandoned product without an owner.
It is said that these days there is money without an owner. That money is called blind money. That's what public money does. What started as something for everyone has become nothing but the one who has it is said to be the owner. All of these are being abandoned today because their owners have not been found. This country was destroyed because it was abandoned because it had no owner. Fortunately, the gospel came to this earth and taught us the truth and taught us that we are the masters.
Servants have no freedom. Freedom can only be possessed and enjoyed by the master. The owner has freedom, rights and responsibilities. If the people do not want to take responsibility and only try to shift the responsibility to the government, the country becomes a dictatorship. A dictatorship will only assert its rights without the government responsible. In the end, it becomes a state of slavery without a master. Today the country is looking for owners from all over the country. The servant is not responsible. The reason you can't find the owner is because no one is in charge. There is no one responsible for killing people mercilessly. There is no one to be held responsible for even though the country has suffered national damage due to the enormous corruption. A country without anyone in charge is a country without an owner. A land without a master is a land of slaves. There is no freedom in the land of slaves. Therefore, the urgent task of this time is to find the owner. Even if it's restructuring or reform, we have to find the owner first.
2. How do I find the owner?
Once upon a time, under Alexander the Great, there was a soldier named Alexander. The soldier was a man who lived a poor life and went by the name of Alexander. One day Alexander the Great went to the barracks where Alexander's soldiers were and commanded: "Your name is Alexander? Then change your name or change your way of life!" At least, these are not the owners the 21st century is looking for. Those who are eligible to apply are those who fulfill their rights, responsibilities, and love.
3. Christians are children of God. Children have inheritance rights. Children are not slaves. Owner. The owner is free. Christ came to redeem us from the slavery of sin and make us children and masters of God. And you've done it. We became masters and freed by the grace of the cross of Christ. Gal 4:4 When the time was fulfilled, God sent his Son, of a woman, made under the law,
“To redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the sonship. Because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of the Son into our hearts, calling you Abba, Father. Therefore you are no longer a slave, but a son. If it is a son, he is an heir through God” (Galatians 4:5-7).
Therefore, we must live as masters and stand firm as a people who will never again be subject to a yoke of slavery.
