Title: Bless the teacher
It is said that in the old days, when an old man died, he wrote six Chinese characters for human (人) and died. No one knew what that meant. But one day, a middle-aged man appeared to explain the meaning. It means, "Are all people human? Humans have to be human in order to be human." Education is what makes people human. Education is the most meaningful, important and valuable activity in a person's life. There are several places where this education takes place. The first is the home, the second is the school, and the third is the church.
1. First, let's look at the family.
The home is the basic educational institution, the first school the baby meets, and where life and education begin. Once upon a time, a king visited a village on the outskirts. When he arrived, he said, "I have come to inspect how strong and strong our country is." The top local official guided the king to the fringe troops and reported, "The border defense is strong" and "No problem. We are fully prepared to block the enemy's attack." "We need a strong army, but it's not the best. It's not the army that keeps the country strong, it's the school and home. Show me the school and home of this village," replied the king. The state of school and home determines the future of the country.
A person with a warm heart loves the country, loves people, and enjoys life wherever he is. The people of Israel have an impregnable home that nothing in the world can break. I wish the Gocheok family to become a warm, happy, and hopeful home for tomorrow.
2. Second, after home, school education is the most important thing.
In particular, we need to pray for our school education in this era.
In early May, a survey was conducted with 108 principals of Humanities High School in Gyeongji, Seoul. Two out of three principals diagnosed that "the classroom has already collapsed". And the teachers' pride and morale fell to the ground. Seven out of 100 students said they would call 112 if their teacher pointed out their problematic behavior and severely rebuked them. 7 out of 10 principals and 6 out of 10 general teachers say that the biggest cause of classroom collapse is the unrealistic and wrong education policy of the government and the Ministry of Education. The education policy established by the country's policy makers is important. Education is a 100-year-old phase of thinking and planning for the next 100 years. Responsible people should set up education policies for a better tomorrow.
So what should we do? The teacher is the most important. A teacher's status, morale, and authority are important. We need to send national respect and affection to teachers in this era who are suffering from numerous chores and criticism in a poor educational environment. It is our sad reality that we have to make Teacher's Day and close schools. We are teaching our children a huge contradiction. And you have to give authority to the teacher. Society and parents must make an effort to restore the authority of the church. Most parents with children still respect their teachers. Congratulations to the school teachers.
3. Third, church education is important.
We love and bless our church school teachers. Education is sowing seeds.
“Whatever a man sows, that he will also reap” (7)
Jesus was the great sower. You were the best farmer in the world. As a farmer, Jesus diligently sowed seeds. You sowed the seeds of possibility. The seed that Jesus sowed was not the dead seed, but the living seed. It is the seed of the gospel that saves and changes people, and the seed of blessing that makes people happy.
And Jesus was a great teacher. The teachings of Jesus have some very unique features.
First, Jesus taught very easily. As a mother speaks to her pretty daughter, as a father to her beloved son.
"Look at the birds in the air" "Think how the lilies of the field grow"
Jesus taught in simple language that everyone, young and old, could hear and understand. Those who teach the easy words of Jesus with difficulty must learn it again.
Second, Jesus taught in a fun way. “It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God” (Matthew 19:24). He was not strict and rigid.
Third, Jesus taught with a punctual point. When people were staring at a woman who had committed adultery as if to death, He said, "He who is without sin among you, let him first throw a stone at him" (John 8:7). Words that really pierce the corner. People who lived with the question that pierced the lungs began to remove their tails one by one. Jesus sometimes fired a direct hit. "Woe to you, snakes, broods of vipers!" Jesus was like a teacher with tweezers who pierced people's souls.
But above all else, Jesus taught with love. Jesus was the teacher of love. We love and bless the teachers and teachers who are devoted to our church school following the example of Jesus. Church school teachers are having a hard time. The reality of our church is that education space, equipment, and facilities are far behind. However, I believe that the passionate dedication of our teachers will overcome these limitations. But Jesus sowed diligently with the hope of a sure future harvest. It is like the saying, "Whatever a man sows, that he will also reap."
All teachers! Let's go out together with a dream. The reality is harsh, but the hope is strong. Let us be proud and realize the importance of the mission God has given us. Never lose hope for tomorrow and let's do our best today. Let's think 10 years from now, 20 years from now. How will our churches and the children we teach be different? How will our young people be used?
I want to share all good things with the church school teachers who teach the Word. We want to share dreams, share hope, share love, share faith, and share fruits. I pray that God's grace will come to the countless teachers who are silent and zealous.
◈ Text ◈
Let the one who is being taught share all good things with the one who teaches the Word. Do not deceive yourself. God is not deceived; whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. He who sows for his own flesh will reap corruption from the flesh, and will receive the Holy Spirit. He who sows for his sake will also reap eternal life from the Holy Spirit. Let us do good, but do not grow weary, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest, if we do not weary. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially the families of the faith (Galatians 6). :6-10)
