Title Galilee, Let's Meet There / Matthew 28:1~10

Contents Galilee, let's meet there / Matthew 28:1~10

Key Verse: “Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers, go to Galilee, and there you will see me” (verse 10).

Word: In life, there are times when life is decided by ‘where were you at that moment’. Being in that position gives you the opportunity of a lifetime, on the other hand, you may regret it for the rest of your life because you are not in the position you should be.

In the Bible, the resurrected Jesus designates a “place” for the women who found the tomb to tell them to the disciples. “Do not be afraid, go and tell your brothers, Go to Galilee, and you will see me there” (Matthew 28:10).

But it's really weird. Why are you asking to meet in Galilee? This has a symbolic meaning. Galilee used to be a place of love and hope. For the disciples, it is a place that touches their hearts just by hearing their name. It is the place where I first met Jesus, shared love, sang hope, and dreamed of a new history. However, due to the sudden death of Jesus one day, it became a place of emptiness, despair, and pain overnight. The resurrected Jesus wanted to restore this seat of despair and sorrow to a place of hope and joy. Here is our hope. Remember! “The seat of despair, that place is where you can always meet God.”

There is one more reason. This is to make it the starting point of a new mission soon. Galilee is where the disciples were first commissioned. “You will become fishers of men” (Matthew 4:19) But now the disciples are scattered and become poor fishermen. The Lord speaks to Peter again. “Feed my lambs, feed my sheep, feed my sheep” (John 21:15-17)

When we look at our reality these days, our hearts are very heavy. When I think of my country and the church, my heart swells. The Lord's measures to heal this ailing land today depend on 'me' and me. So the Lord is calling you to Galilee. He is called to be a place of despair, a worker of hope. No more excuses now. Let's not make excuses. The first is to live honestly. It is living right. It is to love and serve our neighbors in the spirit of the cross.

Galilee today! It is a sea of despair where hope is boiled, a desolate hill where love has left, and a field of wandering that has lost its mission. Someone shouts when everyone is in despair, frustration, or despair. “The Lord of the Resurrection is with us!” The rough field is being plowed into a great mission site. “Galilee, see you there!” We too can laugh and shout.

Prayer: Before you enjoy the joy of the resurrection, do not be afraid to do God's work with a new determination. Help me to be the salt and light of the world by living upright and upright as people who believe in God. I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
