Title Give me your whole heart
Galatians (12) Give me your heart (Galatians 2:20-21)
< Live singing happiness >
Sometimes, when I ask faithful believers what their purpose in life is, most of them say, 'To glorify God.' To accomplish that purpose, you work hard for God's work, but if you really want to glorify God, you must first receive a lot of God's grace before doing God's work. When we receive so much grace and give thanks for the grace we receive, God is more glorified.
God will not be glorified if it does not contain love and gratitude. Even martyrdom does not bring glory to God. When they were martyred, they sang happiness and said, “God! Forgive them!” to glorify God. “God! Please take revenge on me!” If you die in anger, that martyrdom does not bring glory to God. Also, God is glorified when we give thanks in all things and are happy in all things even in the midst of suffering.
Don't get me wrong about what it means to glorify God. Before God is glorified through our work, we are more glorified when we are moved by God's grace, sing happiness in any situation, and give thanks for everything. God created man not because he needed labor, but because he needed something to receive favor from.
<Give me your whole heart>
To live a life that glorifies God, live in the cross. The cross symbolizes death. Only death opens the way to real life. The Israelites left Egypt and went out into the wilderness. However, since the wilderness is not the final destination, we must cross the Jordan River of death and enter the land of Canaan as soon as possible instead of constantly looking at Egypt in the wilderness.
The people of the wilderness had only a brief gratification. In the wilderness they spent 40 years rejoicing and mourning. Why did you live so capriciously? Although the body left Egypt, it was because he looked at Egypt from time to time. Only when saints enter Canaan can they enjoy true happiness, and then God is glorified. But why do many church members today wander in the wilderness without enjoying the happiness of Canaan? Because I can't forget the taste of Egyptian meat.
Some say "Everyone! If you believe, you will be rich.” Of course, the more you believe, the greater your chances of getting rich. But being rich is not the ultimate goal. If you put up your faith and expose only Egypt, you will not gain true faith. Why do you feel spiritual hunger? Because they could not cross the Jordan River and enter the land of Canaan, a land flowing with milk and honey. Enter fully into the cross. The more you look around the world, the more you waste your life. The same is true for couples. Once you are married, you need to forget your old love and give your body and mind to your current spouse.
Some women had a lover before marriage. However, due to complicated circumstances, she could not get married and eventually married another man. But surprisingly, they lived happily ever after. Asked by a friend who knew the situation well before marriage. “You are great. How can you forget the scars of the past and live so well?” Then she answered. “It’s already been abandoned. If you can't turn it back, you have to give it your heart and live. Living like that, I don’t know how many good things my husband has now.”
Give your heart to Jesus. Even though the body has come to Jesus, if the heart is still in the world, then the blessed work cannot appear. The reason the emotional ups and downs were severe is because we did not fully enter the cross. Some people have a lot of emotions and they shed tears after hearing the Word, but when the tears stop, they see reality and lament. "God! How do I buy now?” If you do not fully enter the cross while saying that you are happy and lamenting, the possibility of blessings becomes smaller. Just say, “If I die, I will die!” And the possibility of blessing increases only when we fully enter into the cross.
