Title Genesis 13:1~13 Concession Leadership

Contents The Bible shows various ways of serving. In today's text, we see the scene where Abraham yields the priority of all choices to his nephew Lot. Concessions have the power to dispel all disputes in an instant and bring harmony. So, the common denominator of service and concession is the source of stopping fighting and fostering harmony. The Lord says that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, the rulers of the world of darkness, and the evil spirits in heaven (Ephesians 6:12).

The attributes of God are love, peace and harmony. However, as the order and harmony are disrupted due to sin, covetousness entered the human heart, and the life of yielding and serving has become the part that is most attacked by us.

How could Abraham have such a generous heart for his nephew Lot? We want to share the grace of Abraham's faith with the name of 'Leadership of Concession'.

Whenever we speak of the temperament of the characters in the Bible, we often use the example of Abraham's peace, intercession, and service. Abraham was truly a mediator of peace and was a meek person who always calmed disputes, served, and yielded. But the fact is that the reason is not necessarily just temperament. The reason Abraham was able to yield everything and do good to his nephew Lot was because he believed in the promise that God was with him. Abraham's leadership begins with faith in God.

Also, Abraham was able to make concessions to Lot because he had pride in God. For Christians, self-esteem is very important. In particular, pride in the mission God has given me is the spiritual energy of each. The sure pride and pride that Jesus bore the cross, freeing all mankind from sin and gaining eternal life, ultimately saved our souls.

Be like Jesus. I hope you will be more loyal with pride in the mission that I am being used for the kingdom of God and for the righteousness of God. In today's text, Abraham held on to the word that God would be a source of blessing for him and that he would become the lord of Canaan. So, he was convinced that the land he was staying in was the land where God was with him, and that what he was doing was the fulfillment of God's covenant.

A person of faith does not become anyone. It is difficult to tolerate even just one mistake in the church lay leadership. People look at our members and judge the authority of God and the church. Abraham lived to be an example to the householder and family he always carried with him. He was always yielding, serving meekly, and facilitating reconciliation and reconciliation.

We must go with people of faith like Abraham. In fact, it is no exaggeration to say that all that Lot obtained came through Abraham. In such a situation, when he was given his choice, he could not abandon his uncle even if he threw away everything else, so it was right to ask him to take it. In the end, Lot gets the grace to bring Abraham back to life by pleading with God. Although he has received grace many times, he does not thank God and does not know how to thank his uncle, but later reveals shameful shame.

Who we accompany with is very important. Always be with the seniors of faith. Therefore, I earnestly pray in the name of the Lord that you will receive God's blessing with them and become a spiritual leader who revives the church.
