Title [Genesis 31:1-3] God with Jacob
Being with God is the greatest blessing for believers. When you experience and live with him concretely, you can live a life full of vitality, strength, courage, and joy. Jacob, the main character of the text, lived while experiencing God's presence, and I hope that he will live the experience of God being with us every day.
1. God showed that He is the one who always keeps His promises by being with Jacob.
2. God saw all of Jacob's suffering and repaid him with more precious things.
In verse 12, Jesus said in a dream, “Lift up your eyes, and every ram that rides on the flock is speckled, speckled, and jagged. All that Laban did to you I have seen.” We often face injustice. Then please remember these words. It means that God sees everything and pays in return.
① God saw everything Laban had done to Jacob. He was seeing all the injustice that Jacob was going through when he deceived Jacob or changed his wages ten times to give him less wages (7,41). When we are frustrated, don't we say, "God knows everything"? Let's admit it, not just words. Obviously, God sees everything. Let me not harass or injure the weak just because I am in a position of power. God never forgives. On the other hand, let's not be discouraged or discouraged even if we have suffered innocent and unfair things due to lack of strength. Also, let's not hate or resent the other person. Let's just leave it to God, pray and endure. There will surely be good results.
②God provided that Laban had an advantage in Jacob whenever he changed his wages. For example, if a spotted thing was your wage, you gave birth to chicks with spots, and if a spotted thing said your wage was your wage, all the chicks were speckled (12,8). This is God's justice. God knows our weaknesses. Also, when we suffer injustice, He always makes up for it with something. Let us be convinced that it is God who makes up for us with more things, just as it was God who caused Jacob to be rejected.
3. God protected and protected Jacob every moment (24,29).
