Title Genesis 50:15-21
We already fully know the excellence of the character Joseph. However, through today's text, it will be very beneficial for all of us to examine once again where the origin of his greatness lies.
The brothers envied and hated their younger brother, tried to kill him, and sold him, which happened among the descendants of the covenant God had chosen. Sadly, these envy, hatred, strife, slander, slander, and revenge often appear in various forms even in the community of Christians, God's people today. It is not uncommon for God's people to act unlikely as God's people, but instead try to sit in God's place. So the tragedy in the church does not stop and continues. Today, we must immediately realize what Joseph's great faith was and imitate that faith. Now, from within the church, we ourselves first ask, "Shall I be in God's place?" you should be able to say This clear attitude needs to spread throughout society.
What did he say about the greatness of faith that he found in Joseph? All human activities are in the hands of God, and God is the master of history. It is the conviction that God's work is far beyond human thought, but is always good and always has the purpose of human salvation. It is an attitude of humility and obedience, acknowledging that God alone is the righteous Judge and Ruler of all things. Because of this basic belief, we do not envy and hate anyone. Furthermore, it is to forgive those who envy and hate me and try to harm me, and do not have the desire to take revenge.
Judgment, judgment, condemnation, and retaliation against all people and things must be left to God, who is the only Judge. “God will judge every deed and every secret thing, good or evil” (Ecclesiastes 12:14). And the judgment of the Lord is always true and righteous (Revelation 16:7, 19:2). So our job is not to judge, but to forgive. Proverbs 19:11 says, "A man's wisdom is to be slow to anger, but it is his glory to forgive transgression." Jesus also said: “Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven” (Luke 6:37), “you If you forgive men, your heavenly Father will also forgive you; but if you do not forgive men, your Father will not forgive you” (Matthew 614-15). The Apostle Paul exhorts us to be “kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you” (Ephesians 4:32).
A life that follows these teachings can be a blessed life. Otherwise, our lives are so unfair, painful, insecure and unhappy. Because this world is so evil. It is a world where people are jealous, hateful, slanderous, and slanderous. Usually you can't afford it with discipline or patience. It is impossible or too tiring for us to explain, refute, and respond to each and every one of them. Moreover, it is unfair, foolish, and dangerous to stand in the judge's seat and take God's place. We ask ourselves, "Am I for God?" in everything, anytime, anywhere. You should be able to speak. Only then can we prevent the tragedy of ourselves and our neighbors and reduce the unhappiness of the community. We earnestly pray for the Saemoonan community to enjoy God's love, comfort, peace, and all kinds of grace by always living with these words in our hearts and mouths together.
