To explain the text, as the time for Jesus to accomplish the purpose of coming to this earth drew near, Satan and the devil ran wild and the disciples were in a relaxed state.
So, again and again, Jesus cautioned his disciples to be cautious.
Even though I asked them to stay awake and pray so they would not fall into temptation, the disciples did not pray. Those who do not pray do not deserve to be disciples of the Lord.
And Jesus himself set an example. It is a habitual prayer posture. Being an example of prayer is not easy, but it is the road to success. Jesus Himself stood as an example of sacrifice and service, setting the example of prayer. We want you to be an example at home, at work, and in every corner of the world. The path of an example is hard and difficult, but the Lord is there. The Lord walked all the way by example and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Jesus went to the Garden of Gethsemane on the Mount of Olives and prayed.
The disciples also followed Jesus there. However, it was more important to them who had Jesus close to them than to pray. When Jesus came to Gethsemane on the Mount of Olives, he prayed and squeezed all night long. The only power to overcome tribulation is prayer. Has tribulation come to your home? Are you having trouble with your business? Is your faith shaken?
The disciples also sought Gethsemane, but they did not pray. Even if you go to church, if you do not lead a prayer life, you will inevitably become a failure of faith. Those who do not pray in church do not understand the way of discipleship.
Jesus came to the Garden of Gethsemane to pray, and the reason Jesus prayed while squeezing it was to carry the cross. The only way to follow the Lord is through prayer. The way to fulfill the will of Satan and the devil and fulfill my desires is not necessary without prayer, but the only way to find the will of the Lord and follow His will is to find the Garden of Gethsemane and bow down.
The Lord walked the way of the cross alone and lonely. To whom shall we go?” all the disciples left. Justice is a lonely road. The truth is a very strait and narrow road.
The path of faith is the fastest path when you lie down on your knees and crawl on your knees. Moses walked the path of a lonely leader, knowing that this was the way of the Lord to come. Having trouble following the Lord? I want you to know that the faster way is to get down on your knees thoroughly before God and know that the faster way is to jump on your knees.
The Lord knew that the way to save mankind and to take up the cross is to kneel down and pray. The way to overcome Satan and the devil in this harsh world is to find the Lord's altar today and bow down.
