19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own.

20 It was bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body.

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Bible: 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, Ephesians 2:10 10.1.10

Title: Glory to the body!

In the documentary film “War Nangsori,” which was released in January of last year and loved by the people, there is a scene where the grandfather is looking for a 'bearing cow' in a soejeon.

“Are there any cattle?”

“The beating cow? Not these days.”

When I ask other people, the answer is only 'no'.

A ‘beaking ox’ is a working ox that can plow. In the old days, sweeping was done, but now it is not easy to see the sweeping because machines do it. So these days, it's mostly just 'feeding cows' that are raised to eat. Cows can be ‘bearing cows’ or ‘feeding cows’ depending on the convenience of people, but humans can be their own cattle or feed cows. Do you want to become a 'feeding cow' who only waits for the day to be eaten by fattening up like a pig? Or do you want to become a hardworking 'beaker'?

When the economy is tough, there aren't many places to work. A lot of things are lost. That is, there are a lot of unemployment. One of the concerns of young people in Korea right now is finding a job. So I don't know how lucky I am to be able to work. Aren't we acutely aware of it these days? There is nothing more difficult than playing without work. Do you want to live a life of sitting still and feeding and dressing? Or do you want a life where I work hard and eat? The former might seem like a good idea, but it never is. The really good thing is when I work hard with my hands and eat it not only for myself, but also when I can give it to others.

Melt me. To make a bowl, you first need to gently dissolve a lump of soil with water. Even if you are making a brass bowl, you must first melt it with fire. You can make any vessel you want with melted things, but you cannot make any vessel without melting anything. In order for us to become vessels used by God, we must first melt. Hard things must be dissolved, pride must be dissolved, and sins must be dissolved in order to become a vessel for God. We cannot become the Lord's vessel no matter how much we shout that we want to become the Lord's vessel even though we do not melt ourselves and have our attributes as they are.

Mold me. To make a bowl, you need to put molten earth or molten iron into the desired mold to shape it. No matter how much melted it is, if it is not poured into a certain mold, it will inevitably remain as soil or iron. Also, the shape of the bowl changes depending on what kind of frame it is placed in. We must pour ours into the mold of Jesus Christ. That is why we must become Christians who resemble Jesus. When we pour our things into Satan's mold, we have no choice but to assume the likeness of Satan.

Fill me. The existence value of a vessel lies in its use. We are vessels in the image of Christ. We must put the love of Jesus in this vessel. Still, we keep trying to contain evil things. No matter how beautiful the vessel of Jesus is, if it is filled with Satan's things, it cannot be used for the kingdom of God. To be used by God, a vessel resembling the image of Jesus must be filled with the fragrance of Jesus.

Use me. A ready-made vessel must be put to use. No matter how beautiful a vessel is, no matter how expensive it is, if it is a vessel that is put on a display case and is only seen as an eye-catcher, the vessel may become a precious vessel to people, but its true value as a vessel is lost. Obviously, such a vessel may be used preciously in the world, but to God, it can only be a lowly vessel. What God wants from us is not a Christian for wartime who is valued only by people, but a Christian for practical use who is valued by God. Just as the true value of a vessel is used by the master, our true value also becomes a worker used by God.

Paul wrote to the Corinthians, “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? Give glory to God.” We were bought at a great price to be the only begotten Son of God, Jesus. Therefore, God speaks.

“You Are Not Your Own”

This body of mine is not mine. The owner of all things pays for and when they buy it, it belongs to the person who bought it. Therefore, because we have already given and bought our only begotten Son, Jesus, we ourselves have already passed the ownership to God. It's not even the father's. It is neither the wife's nor the husband's. Each and every believer who fears God belongs to God. Therefore, if we do what God wants to achieve through our lives, He is glorified. Verse 20 says, “Therefore, glorify God in your body.”

What must you do to be glorified? Specifically, what must I do to be glorified with my body? can't help but think about it. In Ephesians 2:10 we read today, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” He said that he was made for “good works” within.

Titus 2:14 says, “He gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify us, that we might become a people of his own, zealous for good works.”

He said that he redeemed us through his only begotten Son so that we might be diligent in good works. He said that those who are diligent in doing good will become the Lord's people. As the Lord's people, of course, we must do good.

Romans 12:17 says, “Return evil for evil to no one, but do good in the sight of all.”

What, then, is “a good work”? According to 2 Chronicles 35:26, everything that is written in the law is good. Everything that obeys the word of Jehovah God is good. Living according to the Word is a good thing, and when you do that good thing, God is glorified.

In Matthew 19, a rich young man comes to Jesus and asks:

“Teacher, what good must I do to inherit eternal life” (verse 16).

Jesus said to him, "Why do you ask me for a good thing? There is only one good one. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments." Then the young man said to him, "Which commandment?" Jesus said again. “You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not bear false witness, honor your father and mother, and you shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

At this time, the young man said, “I have kept all these things;

Jesus said, "If you would be perfect, go, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me."

If you look at the contents of this verse, it is said that keeping God's commandments well and especially helping neighbors in need are good things. Ephesians 4:28 says, “Let him who steals steal no more, but let him labor and do good with his own hands, that he may turn and give to the poor.”

It is said that helping the poor is a good thing.

According to John 5:29, “those who have done good deeds will come out to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment.” Because of this, it will become a good thing, and the life of good faith will soon result in eternal life.

God speaks to us.

“Do good, do good deeds, be generous, be generous” (1 Timothy 6:18). Titus 2:7 says, “Do good, do good deeds abundantly, be generous with sharing.”

If you do good in this way, it becomes a glory.

1 Peter 2:12 says, “You have good conduct among the Gentiles, so that those who accuse you of doing evil may see your good works and glorify God on the day he comes.”

[*Video - Rick Vuic]

Dear saints, am i melted am i made am i filled And now am I being used? If we, too, always ask ourselves these words throughout our lives, we will become wonderful and precious vessels used by the Lord. A certain member said that it took five hours to clean the toilets from the 1st to 5th floors of the Vision Center. If there is one person per floor, it takes an hour, and since they try to clean it so much, it doesn't take even an hour. If we keep the rice we eat for a long time, it will become tasteless rice. After that, you will not be able to eat it. The same is true. Even if we just play around with our bodies, we get old anyway. I get sick. Eventually you will have to go back to the soil. Then, like the Apostle Paul, shouldn't we be able to make a beautiful confession right before we go to the Lord's arms? “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith / From now on there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that day, and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. ” (2 Timothy 4:7-8)

Shouldn't we be able to make such a confession only if we have done something ourselves? There are young people like Rick Vujicic who glorify God by becoming an evangelist of happiness even with a single body without limbs. We have all our limbs and everything we need, but what are we lacking in doing the Lord's work? What makes me lazy? It will rot anyway, and it's not something we can make antiques from. You can't even make ornaments with it. Even if you are given by God, it must not be for the sake of being eaten. Let's do our best to do good when we have what we need to return to the soil and use it to the best of our ability. May the body be used to glorify it.
