Title Go and shout!

God calls us to make life decisions in our lives. He calls us to move from an ordinary world to a life toward God. Asking Jonah to “get up” was an event that called him to live his life as a prophet, but it was God’s call for a decision in his life. Nothing happens unless you decide and act. God gave Jonah an opportunity so that the grace he received could be worked out with power.
1. He told me to go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry.
2. However, Jonah made the decision to avoid the presence of God.
3. Jonah, out of God's presence, had to be pointed out by a foreign captain for his condition.
The ship was in a mess in the great storm, but only Jonah was unaware of the situation. He seemed to have a true inner peace that he could sleep in, but it was a false peace. His peace came from disobedience. Sometimes we are in the path of disobedience, yet our office and face make us seem peaceful. It is foolish to believe that you are in good health and peaceful even when you have serious problems. It was the captain of the Gentiles who pointed out that Jonah's peace was a lie. If we do not proceed in obedience to the mission and command of the gospel, we will fall into a false rest, and while we sleep spiritually, we will not be able to point out the problems of the world and save them. We must fulfill our responsibility to evangelize to the world. You must completely obey the word of the Lord, “Arise, go to that great city and cry out to it.” For God's people to live in disobedience to God, they fall into a spiritual sleep. It would be the most shameful thing for the saints to be criticized and criticized by the world when they are in deep sleep and chaos.
