Title: Go to Galilee
Contents :
If we explain the text, it is the event of the resurrection on the first day after the Sabbath. After showing his resurrected body to women, Jesus asked his disciples to go to Galilee and meet them there.
don't be afraid
The word not to be afraid appears twice in this chapter.
In verse 5 the angels tell us not to be afraid, and in verse 10 Jesus tells the women not to be afraid. Jesus' saying not to be afraid is different from what the first angels did. Already the women have confirmed the resurrection of Jesus. And they held on to the feet of Jesus and even worshiped them. Now, these women have the honor of seeing and touching the historic resurrected body of Jesus, and they have become clear witnesses of Jesus' resurrection. Therefore, those who believe and preach the resurrection of Jesus should not be afraid. Don't be afraid of poverty. Don't be afraid of persecution. Do not be afraid of tribulation or death. The risen Lord will be with you.
go to galilee
Nazareth in Galilee was the place where Jesus was brought up, was baptized, and was baptized.
The Near East of Galilee was the center of Jesus' ministry. It is the place where he taught the Sermon on the Mount, the place where the five diseases and the first signs were shown, and the Cana wedding banquet incident is also in the Galilee region.
Galilee was a neglected place in the Old Testament times. “Can anything good come out of Galilee?” Jesus came to Galilee to distract the attention of Herod's sword and politicians because he was in a low and lowly area. The Messiah will come to a place where they are despised, and he will honor those who are despised and despised. He strengthens the weak, makes the poor rich, and purifies the unclean.
Galilee is the promise of Jesus Christ. Believers must abide in promises. Even before Jesus was arrested, He promised that He would go to Galilee first. When the disciples go to Galilee, they follow the promised Lord.
Galilee is the place where the disciples will be given a new mission. Most of the disciples have been called here and will be recommitted.
you will see me there
The disciples came to Galilee to see the resurrected Jesus, but they did not know what to do and were still in despair, and did not know exactly what to do or why they came to Galilee.
Today, church members flock to the church like a swarm of bees and sit down, but they do not know exactly why they are sitting or how to live. A Christian must meet the Resurrection Lord and know clearly what I am going to do.
