Title God's Stress Healing (Romans 06:12-14)
Contents Yesterday, I was shocked to hear that a pharmacist living not far from our church had committed suicide by killing his wife and children while suffering from depression and stress over trivial matters.
If he had come to our church and received Jesus and had strong faith, he would have been saved in body and soul.
Many people today are suffering from stress or suffering from depression or anxiety, but God can heal stress and other mental illnesses. The text says, “Cast all your anxieties on the Lord, for he counsels you.”
Modern medicine and psychology say that stress is the cause of all diseases and even causes cancer. Therefore, it is necessary to treat this stress as soon as possible.
As long as you accept Jesus and have faith in God, you can heal whatever you want.
1. We must leave it to God (S-urrender)
In order to be healed by God, we must cast our concerns on Him. The text says, “Cast all your anxieties on the Lord.” In the English Bible, it means “Cast all your care upon him”, which means “cast it away.” Don't God take care of you when you throw away the bundle of your worries? Because "God takes care of us" (Care for you) Romans 6:13 says, "...Give yourselves to God." , which means "commit to God, yield". However, some people say they believe in Jesus, but they cannot entrust everything to God. They can't entrust everything and know that they have to hold on to some parts.
In the old days, when there was no car, a missionary was traveling on a country road in a chief car, and while the weather was hot, someone carried a heavy bag on his head, so he stopped and rode it. After walking for a while, I looked at the back seat and saw that I was in the car with my dari on my head. When I asked, "Why don't you put down the bag," he said, "The thing I rode is also sinful, so how do you put the bag down?"
There are people who say that we believe in the Almighty God, but cannot completely entrust it to God. "Eh, I don't know.
Take it all in!" and leave it to God, and God will take care of it.
And to overcome stress, we must entrust our will, our future, and our words and actions to God. Romans 12:1-2 says, “Therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. But be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”
We must offer our will and even the examination of our words and actions to God as a sacrifice, and God will take care of it and heal and protect us.
2. You must depend on God. (T-rust)
Psalm 37:40 says, “The Lord helped them and delivered them; he delivered them from the wicked and saved them, because they trusted in him.” It is saying that God delivered me from the wicked because I depended on God.
Many rely on their doctors, their lawyers, their friends, and yet they are not confidently in God. No matter how wonderful a human being, it ends when his nose stops breathing, and all anxiety comes from relying like God on things that are not worth relying on.
If we are to break the stress, we must rely on the Lord. Human abilities are limited. God's power is limitless and never fails. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not trust in your name; in all circumstances acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."
This piece of paper is so weak that it can be torn even with your little finger, and even if you put it in water, it will come loose, but if you rely on an iron plate, it won't tear even if you hit it with your fist.
When I firmly depend on God without any gaps like this, no anxiety or stress can take hold of me.
3. You must rejoice in the Lord (R-ejoicing)
In Philippians 4:4-5, the apostle Paul said, “Rejoice in the Lord always, again I say, rejoice, and let your generosity be made known to all.”
Proverbs 17:22 says, "A joy of the heart is good medicine, but a troubled spirit dries up the bones." I did.
There are red blood cells and white blood cells in human blood. Red blood cells supply oxygen, but when there is a lack of oxygen, they die. White blood cells fight and kill germs that invade the body. It kills germs and kills itself.
Pus is like a soldier where white blood cells fight germs and die.
White blood cells envelop and kill germs as if they were killing insects by entwining them with a spider's web. White blood cells have B lymphocytes and T lymphocytes. B lymphocytes kill common pathogens and T lymphocytes kill cancer cells. These T lymphocytes produce a toxin that kills cancer cells, but if the T lymphocytes are weak or do not function properly, they cannot kill cancer cells, leading to cancer.
However, it is said that it is a hormone called endorphin that strengthens these T lymphocytes, and this hormone is produced in the brain. It is said that endorphins are released when you are relaxed and happy, and when you are anxious, worried, and afraid, a hormone called adrenaline is produced that harms the body.
Therefore, how important it is to relax and rejoice. Modern medicine is proving that the Bible, written thousands of years ago, is the truth.
However, many Christians fail to rejoice because they are withdrawn due to material pressure. And rejoicing in the state is a good antidote to stress. It's hard to be happy and stressed at the same time.
The psalmist said, "Seven times a day I praise You for your righteous statutes" (Psalm 119:164).
4. You must endure (E-ndure)
Hebrews 6:15 says, "For he was patient with this and received the promise", but many Christians fail because they can't be patient. And in order to overcome stress, we have to wait patiently for God's will to be done.
We have to be patient and wait for God's will to be done.
And to overcome stress, we must learn to wait for God's will to be done. In Psalm 27:14, it is said, “Waiting for the Lord, be strong and courageous, and hope for the Lord”, which means “Wait for God” (Wait for).
God's time is always right and wrong. God is never too early and never too late.
Therefore, we must wait for God's timing. If you are impatient, you become anxious and stressed.
5. S-elf discipline
The Apostle Paul said, "I beat my body into subjection, lest, after I have preached to others, I myself will be rejected" (1 Corinthians 9:27).
Many Christians lack self-control. The will is too weak. “Everyone who competes for the victory must be temperate in all things” (1 Corinthians 9:25).
A person who lacks self-control and a weak will cannot resist stress. When you can control the desires of the body, you can heal stress.6. You must serve. (S-service)
Ephesians 6:7 says, “Serving with all of your heart, as to the Lord, and not to men.” It is the will of God to serve not only the Lord, but also serve people.
Rich and proud people only want to be served by others and do not know how to serve others, so they get a lot of stress and suffer from various mental disorders.
Many Christians are stressed because they fail to serve God. Some people get stressed out because they are too busy. Some people can't because they're too busy, and some people can't be shy about.
Above all else, working hard at God's work is a way to relieve stress. If you actively participate in worthwhile activities, you can forget your personal worries and worries, and at the same time receive God's help. Moreover, we are the people to whom God's eternal reward is promised.
2 Corinthians 6:1-2 says, “As co-workers with God, we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain, saying, “I heard you in my favor, and I helped you in the day of salvation.” Behold, now is the acceptable time. Behold, now is the day of salvation."
7. Fight Spiritually (S-pirit)
After the stressful stage, you become overtly anxious, depressed, and eventually commit suicide, which is clearly a demonic history. Therefore, we must use spiritual discernment to rebuke and defeat evil spirits.
“It is not a spirit of fear that God gives us,” he said.
The Holy Spirit gives us peace and comfort, but the evil spirit gives us anxiety and anxiety and depression. Instead of the Holy Spirit giving you vision and hope, the evil spirit gives you hopelessness and frustration and eventually leads to suicide.
Everything is a spiritual battle.
1) To win the spiritual battle, we must be armed with the Word of the Bible.
In particular, the phrase "Do not be afraid and do not be troubled" appears 365 times. This is once every day God tells us, “Do not be afraid, do not be troubled.”
Isaiah 41:10 says, “Do not be afraid, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you, I will help you, yea, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
2) Sing aloud.
When we sing worldly songs, our hearts are clouded or evil spirits invade us, but when we sing spiritual songs, we are filled with the Holy Spirit and bring peace to our hearts.
3) We must cry out and pray.
Stress does not build up when we pray earnestly and cry out. Evil spirits are afraid and run away.
Especially when the anxiety and depression don't go away, rebuke and defeat the personal demon head-on, if it doesn't work at once, do it twice or thrice.
Especially when it is bitter, sick, and anxious, like poison in the soul, even if you beat your chest, say, "Demon, go out! I am the Son of God. Get out of my heart that has been washed with the plaques of Jesus! Evil devil, go out! I am the devil If you resolutely reject and rebuke him, you will be refreshed and peace will come.
“I have given you authority to trample serpents and scorpions, and to have power over all power of the enemy, and no one will harm you by any means” (Luke 10:19).
Prayer is a special medicine to cure mental illness.
It is not long until the end of the last days and the devil enters the abyss, so it blinds people's minds and makes them criminal, and brings stress, anxiety, and depression, leading to psychopaths or suicide.
Recognizing that it is a spiritual battle, we must resist the devil and rebuke and defeat the devil.
“Resist the devil, and he will flee from you; draw near to God, and he will draw near to you” (James 4:7-8).
S.T.R.E.S.S is the initial stage in which the devil invades, so please firmly defeat it.
In the text, He said, “Cast all your anxieties on the Lord,” and in the next verse, He said, “Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
Hallelujah!
