Title Grace to help in time of need
Contents
In a house, a 20-year-old son keeps rebelling in front of his parents. It's an annoying voice telling your parents that you're leaving the house. Once, we had a family meeting. After gathering all the family members, the father yells at his son and says something. “Hey, you say you’re going to leave the house every now and then, but why?” My son said, "I'm going out to live my life right." "Then what the hell is the life you're after, and why are you trying to go out because you can't stay at home!" "The life I want is to earn a lot of money, travel a lot, and meet the woman I like. My life is to have fun like that. Where does that happen at my house?" So my father jumped up and said, "Hey man, by the way, let's go with me if there's any."
Many people are not satisfied with their circumstances. Tolstoy said this. "The most important person in this world is the person I'm dating right now," he said. These are the most important people: the family I live with, the colleagues I work with, and the church members who serve the church together.
The apostle Paul prayed three times so that the thorn in his body would disappear before God. At that time, God's response to Paul is 2 Corinthians 12:9, "My grace is sufficient for you." The mystery of time and grace is hidden in these words that God answered. God sets a time and connects our time to that time. Our needs, our desires, are grace and blessings when they are in line with the time of Jehovah God.
Then there are three important meanings of this word, grace to help in time of need.
First, it is grace for mission.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, “There is a time when every purpose is fulfilled.” It is said that Jehovah God sets a time, and there is a time when the purpose is fulfilled. So, when we seek grace, we must seek grace for our mission. We must seek the grace to achieve our purpose. Grace is to be received for work.
God said to Elijah, who wanted to die, "Elia, you still have work to do. Anoint Hazael to be king of Syria, anoint Jehu to be king of Israel, and anoint Elisha to be your successor." He raised Elijah up again by giving him the mission. This concept of grace to help in time of need is a God-given mission. Time is related to the mission, and grace is also related to the mission. This is God's purpose in seeking time. And grace is the purpose of grace to carry out the mission God has entrusted to us.
Second, it is the grace that always remains with us.
Because we are always in grace, we receive the grace we need when God intended us to. In other words, we who are in the Lord are always living in the realm of Immanuel. Therefore, grace to help in time of need is also grace to help in time of need when we believe and obey the fact that we are always living in God's grace.
There is a saying. “Only regular prayer is possible.” You need to know how to attend the prayer meetings held by the church in order to become a personal prayer life. It is said that prayers before God are usually done by themselves only if they know how to attend the prayer meetings held by the church and the prayer meetings held by the members together. The habit of attending these church meetings is what makes me pray often. Also, in addition to the occasional prayer that I regularly pray, I also participate in church events. The word grace to help in time of need is grace given to those who live in God's grace on a regular basis. Time is a mission, and grace is a mission. Therefore, such times and grace are not permitted to those who are not in the grace of Emmanuel.
Therefore, we must live believing that God's protective hand is there. Even if I forget about me, I always believe that God is protecting me, and I will receive grace to help in time of need. It's not like waiting for God's grace with a concept like gambling to wait for the right time. When we always live in God's grace, God gives us grace at the right time to accomplish what He wants to do through us.
Third, it is the concept of living with today's grace given to me.
Grace must be the grace given to me. God's grace is infinite, but if I don't receive it, it has nothing to do with me. The concept of receiving grace individually is important. In 1 Corinthians 15:10 Paul said, “But it is by the grace of God that I am what I am, and his grace that was given to me was not in vain.
Ladies and gentlemen, no matter how greedy you are in receiving grace, you do not become overly greedy. No matter how hard you try, longing for grace cannot be over-greedy. Sometimes we get too greedy in vain However, in order to receive God's grace, no matter how much I greedily, it is not unreasonable.
The apostle Paul was a man who thirsted for God's grace. He has been a person who longs for grace all his life. The Apostle Paul sees him as a man who only evangelized and worked, but that is not the case. According to Paul's letters, he was thirsty for God's grace, so he kept looking at that grace and ran toward the goal in front of him. The Apostle Paul continued to run toward the Lord, accomplishing God's work there.
Among the saints, those who only work hard in the church do not last long. You have to work with passion to receive God's grace. No matter how hard you try, you will never tire of doing God's work with the passion for receiving grace, the passion for prayer, and the passion to run closer to God. However, those who neglect to receive grace, neglect their prayer life, and work diligently as they move away from the Word of God will not last long. God does not require such workers. I hope you will learn how the Apostle Paul's passion for the Lord and his longing for that grace are overflowing.
And you must enjoy today's grace. The concept of this time has a strong concept of today. God's time always emphasizes the present. It must be the grace you receive today. I must obtain today's manna, not yesterday's manna. The grace you give me, this is today's grace. But those who have received today's grace given to me will also receive grace through me.
Then we, who seek grace to help in time of need, must not miss verses 14-15 of this text. We tend to forget the previous one with only 4:16, but the first two verses are more important. "Therefore, we have a great high priest, who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our faith. We do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are. You have no sin.”
Who is the subject of grace? “We have a great high priest, who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God.” Without this presupposition, grace cannot be discussed. When we talk about grace, we must confess who Jesus is and that Jesus is the subject of grace. Therefore, it presupposes that grace comes to us from the ascended one who is in heaven, Jesus Christ, and that confession of faith toward Jesus Christ is the only way to receive grace.
A seminary student was supposed to take an end-of-semester exam but didn't study. If I don't get a score in a required course, I fail. After thinking about it, I ended up writing an almost blank answer sheet, and I trembled in front of the professor like this at the bottom. "God knows all the answers. I unconditionally say Amen to them." I gave out a test paper. And the scoring results came out. The answer came like this. "God is a perfect score, you are a baker."
God knows all the answers. But I have to pay the price to find the answer. Just because God's grace is freely given, we must not know that it is truly free. If you go to a meeting and try to receive grace, I have to pray for that meeting and pay the spiritual price to receive grace. However, if you try to attend for free, you will not receive the grace. The grace you receive in this way is not grace. It's a feeling and a touch, there is no fruit. Those who truly receive grace will bear fruit. If we have received grace through worship, we must have a fruitful life.
God requires two conditions for grace to help in time of need. He tells us to look and seek the time. When God gives grace, God has ordained it. Don't pull it out and ask for it like a fluke, but leave it all behind and unconditionally, we must live longing for grace from an upward perspective. And to receive that grace, you have to pay a spiritual price. You have to pay. You have to pay the effort. I believe that God's grace is there.
