6. Evaluation and Lessons Learned
① As the name implies, Habakkuk did not suffer alone and despair when skepticism about 'why God permits evil' constantly occurred, but he tried to get an answer from God and persisted in God alone (Habakkuk 1:2). -4). Today, we too may fall into serious troubles and discouragement due to various religious issues that any believer can have. In such a case, we must become a true wise man like Habakkuk, who knows that the answer to these problems lies with God, who rules the universe and history according to His good will (Rom.
② Like Habakkuk, who sees the sins of his people and longs for a return to God even through discipline, do we seek God's grace and mercy with regret and earnestness when we see the sins of this country and people? Perhaps it is time to look back on whether or not he is a powerless person who falls rather because of injustice that pervades society.
③ Habakkuk testifies to the truth that we are justified by faith alone (Habakkuk 2:4). This is by no means a doctrinal declaration that is merely habitually uttered with the lips. It is a confession of faith that is spoken from the depths of the heart as a result of actually experiencing and deeply pondering the various pains and problems of life experienced in the field of concrete life. We, too, should always have such a confession of faith in our own lives.
