Title Hallelujah / Psalm 148:1-5
Contents Hallelujah / Psalm 148:1-5, Revelation 19:1-6
'Hallelujah' literally means 'praise God' and is derived from two Hebrew words. It is a compound word of 'halal' meaning to praise and 'Jah', the name of God. As children of God, we have a duty to praise God. We would like to share the reasons for praising God at this time.
1. Praise God for being the Creator.
Psalm 19:1 says, “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament shows the works of his hands.” People have no choice but to praise God because God's transcendence and superiority are so great. Light travels at the speed of seven and a half revolutions of the Earth in one second. The distance traveled at the speed of light in one year is called one light year. The universe is said to be larger than 10 billion light years, not 10 million light years. And there are hundreds of billions of stars bigger than Earth in this space.
And the flow of electricity is called an electric current, and electrons with a size of 1/10 to 32 kg are flowing in this current. This flow of electrons is an electric current, which heats, cools, and emits light. Whether it is the world of the infinitely large telescope of the universe or the world of a precise microscope, God has created it. Therefore, it is a hallelujah.
When you see the multitude of birds and butterflies flying in the sky, the appearance of various fish swimming over the coral and the shape of Mt. Geumgang, a strange rocky cliff at each peak, hallelujah to the God who created them all. Hallelujah to the God who created human beings who exquisitely express the craftsmanship of literature, music and architecture. And hallelujah to the God who created the most beautiful love.
2. Praise the God of salvation and judgment.
Revelation 19:1 says, "I heard a loud voice in heaven, like a great multitude, saying, Hallelujah, salvation and glory and power belong to our God."
Even today, there is a huge flow of people on the streets. And there are a group of people who are hopeless, tired, poverty-stricken, frustrated, anxious, anxious, and anxious. Thousands of people complain of tears and suffering due to wars, large and small, taking place everywhere. There is no way to stop the flow of time and the pain of so many people lying in the hospital, the people who are getting old, hatred, greed, selfishness, anger, frustration, hostility, and competitive spirit, the souls of those who cannot rest, are miserable.
Although we make a promise and promise in our hearts for love and forgiveness, the fallen nature that is inherent in us plunges us into the abyss of failure again. Feeling the power of these human limitations and the undeniable chains of sin, we feel despair once again. In the end, we see the tragedy of life in the way that life must go, and the maggots do not die in the eternal flames, exuding terrible pain. Ah! Who can deliver me from this law of death? No matter how much I look around, there is no way of salvation, so who can lift me from the yoke of this miserable life?
But you are blessed, Jehovah God the Father, who did not give up life and found it! God has given life the gift of love. He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to this earth. Through the cross, He freed us from all this sinful power of death. Now, we have received the divine life of eternal life, without tears, without pain, without sorrow, pain, greed, old age, and parting. Therefore, our life should be hallelujah to God who has given us eternal life.
Also, Revelation 19:2 says, “His judgments are true and just. He has judged the great whore who has defiled the earth with her fornication, and has avenged the blood of her servants at her hand.” Because he is the one who judges. There are a lot of bad people in the world who are harassing good people. There is exploitation, persecution, persecution and violence all over the world. And the wicked commit sins to their heart's content as if there was no God. There are many people who have a healthy body, enjoy more wealth, prosper, live longer, and die painlessly when they die. Those who try to live a good life, those who keep their conscience and keep the law and order, will suffer losses in life on this earth.
In this world, the good people weep and wait for God's justice. God judges all deeds of evil in the end, as the good wishes. God will judge the wicked with hellfire. God, who makes justice like a river, and justice like a river, will proclaim His glory through judgment.
3. Praise God for He reigns forever.
Revelation 19:6 says, “I heard the voice of a great multitude, as the voice of many waters, and like a great thunder, saying, Hallelujah, the Lord our God the Almighty reigns.”
Thousands of people who have been saved praise God in heaven. The sound is so loud that it sounds like a lot of water. There are many leaders in this world. Some of them were saints like David, and others like Hitler who took the lives of millions of people. Depending on who becomes the leader, happiness or unhappiness in life can come. However, no matter how hard you are, you cannot give true joy and satisfaction to life, and you cannot give you the hope of eternal life. All the noise of discord in this world disappears, sin disappears, and a perfect life without death begins in the reign of God. Hallelujah, the Lord reigns. He reigns forever and ever.
I will conclude As we enter the second week of Advent, waiting for the birth of Jesus, we praise God. He created this universe, and he still holds all orders and principles in it. He is the One who brings salvation and judgment with justice. He will rule over us forever. We praise God as we wait for Christmas when He sent the baby Jesus into this world.
“Praise the Lord, you sun and moon and stars in the sky, you mountains and plants of the earth, you fish of the sea, and people of the earth. Praise the Lord the Almighty King.”
