Title Hallelujah, Amen (2)

Contents

Text: 2 Corinthians 1:16-20

Continuing from last week, we will talk about “Amen”. “Amen” has the meanings of ‘Yes, it is right’, ‘It is truly so’, ‘I believe in the Lord’, and ‘I entrust my life’.

1. It has the attribute of gratitude.

"Amen!" Inside, there is gratitude such as ‘thank you’, ‘thank you for God’s grace’, ‘thank you for letting me come to church and hearing the word’.

Everyone, do you get gratitude when you fight and attend worship? It's only natural that it doesn't come out. Apostle Paul was a man who had the faith of Amen, and he lived the life of Amen regardless of circumstances or circumstances, whether he was happy or sad, persecuted or difficult, or when the saints prayed and cooperated. In Acts 16:25, Paul sang and prayed even after being beaten, starving at dinner, and imprisoned in dungeon while preaching the gospel. Paul said in Philippians 4:4, “Rejoice in the Lord always, again I say, rejoice” and verse 6 “Be anxious for nothing, but with thanksgiving let your requests be made known.” When I feel good and everything is going well, anyone can be grateful.

However, we must be able to say Amen in the midst of adversity and hardship.

Dear brothers and sisters, I pray that you will have faith to be thankful for everything.

2. It has the properties of agreeing and agreeing (agree, join).

Saying Amen when you hear the word of God agrees with that saying. I agree. More broadly, it means that I will accept that word as the word given to me. In Revelation 22:20, “The one who testifies of these things says, “Truly (Amen) I am coming soon.” Amen! Come, Lord Jesus.” When we, believers, hear the word of the Lord, we must respond (answer) to it, but at this time, we say “Amen”. I hope that all of you, too, do “Amen” diligently when listening to the Word. Not doing it is never polite and intelligent. Faith grows when “Amen” is abundant.

3. It has the attribute of determination.

When you read and listen to the Word and answer Amen, it gives you a resolution in your heart. That becomes belief. Amen is the most beautiful decision. It is a decision of blessing and also a decision of prosperity. When people hear the word of God, the word is right, but isn't my situation and my position a bit difficult? Hesitating to make a decision. In my mind, I struggle with cooking and cooking inventory. At that time, the devil attracts the negative side, the negative side. At that time, most Christians are led by humanism rather than neo-capitalism, leading to people-centered lives, not God-centered ones. This is not the faith of Amen. This is a humanistic decision that I am centered on, so God is neither working nor taking responsibility for it.

Without determination, obedience does not occur. Obedience is when God says, “Do it,” and you decide to do it in your heart and do it. Decision is what you make up your mind to, and obedience is what you set your mind to doing. In a word, this is called a decision of faith.

4. It has the attribute of obedience.

In 2 Corinthians 1:19-20, “Jesus Christ, the Son of God, did not say yes and no, but with him it was only yes. All the promises of God are yes in Christ, so that through him we say Amen to the glory of God.” “Amen” has the attribute of “yes” obedience. In other words, it means to obey God's word. For example, in Matthew 1:21, Mary responds to the voice of the angel saying, “You will conceive and give birth to a son,” and Mary responds, “Your servant girl has come, and your word may be fulfilled.” It's not like these days when morals and morals fell to the ground, and a virgin wasn't a child of a fianc e, and if she got pregnant, it would not only break her marriage, but she would also be stoned to death. Still, ‘Yes, I know, it should be’ is the faith of Amen.

Dear saints, what is the case with the saints, amen must be alive in your mouth. When you leave, you must keep in mind that the spirit is a dead spirit. A believer should never forget the words, “Amen, do
