Meditation: The power of Jesus responds to faith. How much do I enjoy the power of the Lord and live my life?
Confession of Faith: Apostles' Creed
Text: “Because I thought that if I touched only his clothes, I would be saved. And immediately the source of his blood flow dried up, and he knew in his body that he was healed. Turning from the middle, he said, "Who touched my clothes?" (Mark 5:28-30)
There were thousands of people following Jesus. If you look at verse 31, you can see that some of these people came into contact with the Lord, such as those who bumped into Jesus and those who touched his clothes. He followed the Lord, bumping his body and touching his clothes, but it had nothing to do with his power. It is the image of those who followed the Lord and did this and that, but did not experience the power of the Lord in my life.
The lives of such people cannot enjoy the power of God at all. However, there is a woman who has experienced the power of Jesus. This woman approached Jesus from the crowd and touched his clothes, and the power of Jesus entered him. Jesus explains why in verse 34. “Daughter, your faith has saved you.” There are many people who have met and touched Jesus, but she was the only one who was healed by believing in the Lord as my healer and savior.
Just because you follow the Lord doesn't mean you can enjoy power. When we reach out and grab the hem of the Lord's robe with God-centered faith, not our own faith, the power of the Lord flows into our lives and changes our appearance. This woman's hand of faith is a faith that acknowledges the futility of human power.
This woman made a wonderful change by this belief. The bleeding that I had suffered for 12 years was cured. This disease caused a lot of suffering, wasted property, and brought misery that could not even be a woman, but all these problems, that is, the problems of reality on earth were solved. I have enjoyed the peace of salvation through the power of the Lord.
Whatever the problem, don't be discouraged and show your faith. The power of the Lord will be ours.
Prayer: Give me faith to enjoy the power of the Lord who works according to your faith. I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
