Title [Happy Today] Active faith to fill the void
Contents
Luke 14:15-24
Today's text is Jesus' response to a parable when he and the Pharisees went to a family to eat and one of them said, "Blessed are those who eat bread in the kingdom of heaven."
A man threw a banquet and invited many people, but no one attended. They said that they had to go out to buy a field, go check it out because they bought a cow, and couldn't attend because they got married.
When the servant reports the situation to the master, the master orders the servant to quickly go out into the streets and alleys and bring all the disabled, including the poor and the visually impaired.
However, when the seat is not filled, the master tells the servant to go out again and force everyone on the road to take them and fill the feast. The content of the text is that the servants practiced as they were, and none of those invited before were able to attend the banquet.
Today's sermon gives us many lessons, but I would like to share the grace by looking at it from the perspective of a particularly active faith. The text clearly shows Jesus' active faith to invite us to the heavenly feast. The house of the owner of the text is the church. Through this parable, Jesus is commanding us to fill the church by bringing in even those who do not want to come without waiting for them to come.
In today's text we find something precious. Jesus invites even those who are poor, weak, and insignificant to the feast to share with them.
Brothers and sisters, let's have active faith. What does it mean? Think positively and positively in everything and do your best until the end. The active faith of Jesus is clearly revealed in today's words, where he calls us countless times to fill the void. When we too have this kind of positive faith, we can eat the spiritual food of the kingdom of heaven and have victory in God's blessing and grace. We must spread the gospel with this active form of faith.
If you look at the Bible, God made history through people of active faith.
In society, it is natural that active people succeed rather than passive people. Through such active people of faith, the global village develops into a more beautiful and livable place. As in the past, the person God uses today is a person of active faith.
Worship is a precious time to gain living power. It is a time to meet with God. In order to carry out God's work, we must actively attend worship and possess the ability.
I pray that you will be filled with God's grace through active faith and allegiance and devotion to the Lord.
