Title [Happy Today Choi Hong-seok] Today's Reformation
Contents
Text: Matthew 7:21-23
This text is from the conclusion part of the Sermon on the Mount that Jesus spoke. The object of Jesus' strict words, "Depart from me, you who practice lawlessness" was the Lord!' and the second is to those who prophesy in your name, cast out demons in your name, and perform many mighty works in your name .
These are the things that today's saints and clergy are most longing for, longing for, and most proud of, but they seem to rebuke those who practice them, so it is not easy to realize. It is not easy to see what you are referring to by pointing out what is illegal. But the Lord called them “those who practice lawlessness.” What did they do wrong? I did the work of the Lord, but why did the Lord say that I never knew it? If it had been done with the heart of a servant, of course, it would have been reported to the master. Jesus, who looks at the heart, must have warned, “Depart from me,” because he had somehow done something lawless. The foolish servant mistakenly thought that he had done it, and it is thought that the main guest was turned over. These are the words that only Jesus who sees the center can say.
In light of these words, I would like to think about today's Reformation. Today's Reformation must take place in our hearts. Martin Luther's Reformation 485 years ago refers to church reform, and if it was a major institutional reform, I would like to talk about the things that go against the Lord's will, which we often commit today.
Jesus told us to be humble and humble, and he set the example, but today we are trying to be exalted in many ways. In Luke 16:15, “Jesus said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. What is exalted among men is something that is hated before God.” How about our surroundings today? Are you only doing things that are hated by God? It is easy to see brilliantly successful traders struggling to become higher, and they are fighting to get higher, either illegally or by buying them with money. There are times when the saints complain and struggle to win to get higher in their church office, and those who come to the church, register respectfully and testify that they have received grace, find other churches because the people around them do not recognize them and do not recognize them. There are not many cases of getting lost. They are all going backwards, and I am worried because it doesn't seem like it would be possible to put this on a church billboard like Martin Luther did.
Today, when we preach or pray, it seems that we all try to live according to the Word, but when we go to the executive boards, district meetings, and general meetings where we gather to do church work, we even try not to die . That's right. No matter how hard I try to throw this ego away, I am still standing upright like Ottuki.
Today's Reformation will be successful only when you get down on your knees and beat yourself in the chest. Only then will you enjoy the peace that the Lord has given you and make others at peace.
