Happy Christian/Psalm 1:1-6

------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------

Psalm 1:1-6

Psalm 1 reveals the difference between the blessed and the unhappy. And Psalm 1, which begins with “the blessed one,” is also the story of a happy family and an unhappy family.

Who are the lucky ones?

1. People with the right values.

Verse 1 says, “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scorners.” To not follow, not to stand, not to sit means to live with a clear set of values and direction in life. In other words, they don't follow someone else's going, they don't join because a friend told them to do it, and they don't go over because their neighbors are twisted.

Our problem is that we are so brainwashed into collective action. Even if it is a sin that will go to hell, it follows and follows, saying, "Because everyone else is doing it, the world is going that way."

The slogan advocated by Director Park Chung-hee after the 5.16 coup was a movement for the expulsion of corruption and illegality. They returned the wealth of the rich, and condemned it in the name of social justice. But what is surprising is that every time the regime changed until the 4, 5, 6, 7 republic, injustice was revealed, and they are happily entering the prison due to a collusion of power and money. The reason is simple. This is because of the decline of values that do not distinguish between where to stand, where to sit, and what to do.

One day, father and son were driving to Ui-dong. When the red light came on, all the other cars stopped, but the car just broke the signal and drove.

Son: Dad, it's a red traffic light.

Father: Man, you can do it when you're busy

Son: Even if you are busy, what do you do if you break the law?

Father: The little boy talks a lot. son : .......

Three days later, the father, who went to work, drove his son to the front of the school. At the crossing in front of the school, children were waiting for a blue traffic light. My son got out of the car and was about to cross while the red traffic light was on. The startled father got out of the car and hurriedly grabbed his son.

Father: Man, it's a red light, so what if you cross it?

Son: It's late.

Father: Inseok-ah, it's dangerous to cross over like that. you have to wait a little

Son: Dad. It can be like that when you're busy.

father: ......

Paul said, "Bring up your children in the discipline and admonition of the Lord." It's about setting an example and teaching right away.

As a result of a recent survey by the Korean Consumer Protection Agency of 500 parents of kindergartens in Seoul, 51.6% of the cases where children's textbooks were bought and left unattended. Although the textbooks averaged 450,000 won, more than half do not use them. It is an illusion and a miscalculation to raise children only with good textbooks, kindergarten, and school education. What values your parents have and what they show you every day is more important.

Let us not follow the counsel of the wicked. Let's get away from that temptation and let it go. Let us not stand together in the path of sinners. Let us not sit in the seat of the arrogant. Don't go unless it's on the road, don't eat anything that isn't food, and don't touch anything you don't need. People who live right with the right values are happy people and have a happy family. These are the people who live the right life of faith.

Verse 2 says, “But those who delight in the law of the Lord, and meditate on it day and night.” In a word, it is a person who lives a right life of faith. The law of Jehovah here refers to the commandments and words given by God. Those who love and fear God will enjoy and obey His Word.

In Psalm 119:14 the psalmist says, "I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimony, as I have rejoiced in all riches." It means that we enjoy the word of the Lord more than when we make money and succeed. In Psalm 119:67 the psalmist says, "Before I was afflicted, I went astray, but now I keep Your word." In 119:71, "It is good for me to be afflicted, that I may learn Your statutes." And in 119:147, it says, "Before dawn I cried and waited for Your word."

We can measure the quality of our religious life in various ways. For example:

1) Church attendance. Attending church is for worship. The number of worship services and the number of faith growth are proportional. It is difficult for those who attend about once a month to grow in faith. Worship is a time to worship God and meet and fellowship with God. In order for fellowship to ripen, there must be a lot of time together with the time of meeting. Faith grows only when you come out in the daytime, evening, and dawn.

2) It is a prayer life. Prayer is a spiritual language and a means of fellowship. In prayer, I tell God about my circumstances and my heart and listen to God's voice. However, not having a prayer life means breaking with God, so that faith will gradually wither away.

3) It is a life of service. There is nothing impossible for a loved one. John 3:16 says, "God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son." The world here means people. That is, He loved us and gave His only begotten Son. How do we love the Lord? If you truly love the Lord, you must serve the Lord. If you love the Lord, you must serve the Lord. What specifically does serving the Lord mean? It is to serve the body of the Lord, the church, and to those who are members of the Lord. Let's serve the church and serve our neighbors with the heart of serving the Lord.

4) It is a life of obedience. There are basic attitudes that are more important than church attendance, prayer, and service. It is obedience to the Word of God. There is no fruit of faith greater than obedience. Obedience is a willful decision to acknowledge, follow, and act on the Word of God. Dr. Orsini, 44, is an internal medicine specialist who graduated from Baylor Medical School in the United States. He felt sorry for the heart disease patients who underwent blood vessel transplantation while attending medical school, suffering from worsening symptoms after discharge.

Arteriosclerosis, the number one cause of death in the United States, is attributed to smoking, stress, lack of exercise, and excessive consumption of animal fats. Dr. Orsini studied 48 patients with heart disease and proved that it can be treated with lifestyle modifications. Heart and other diseases can be prevented or cured if you reduce your high-fat intake and avoid negative and pessimistic thoughts, build healthy relationships, and enjoy love and peace. Lifestyle adjustments help maintain health. Much less, with the adjustment of our belief structure, we must fix our souls and our religious lives as soon as possible. The reason is that no matter how healthy you are and how much money you have, it is of no use if your soul is ill.

President Kim Dae-jung returned from attending the ASEM Conference held in England last month. To resolve the economic crisis in Korea, we met with heads of state and business people and asked for investment in Korea. In particular, there was something they ordered from President Kim during a meeting with business people. "We see Korea's economic problems and the future positively and optimistically. And we highly appreciate President Kim's ability. However, two issues must come first before investment is possible.

One is that restructuring must be done as soon as possible under the agreement between the labor and management, and the second is a guarantee for the labor movement. The labor movement in your country is militant and aggressive, and when a militant labor movement occurs after we have invested a large amount of money, we must raise our hands and step back. Please put in place an institutional mechanism that can take responsibility for that. Then I will invest as much as I want." was the words of the world's businessmen who ordered President Kim.

That's right. We have too much to restructure. But the most pressing is the restructuring of faith. Let's change to a God-centered belief structure. Even if you make money, lose money, succeed or fail, let's not deviate from the God-centered structure. The promise of this text is that it will bear fruit like a tree planted by streams of water, its leaves will not wither, and all its events will prosper.

Even if you cry for a while, choose the one who smiles forever. Even if it hurts for a little while, let's choose a life where we can live with our hearts open forever. Let's become citizens of a world that sees the light forever, even if it is dark for a moment. Let's choose the path that will make you happy forever, even if it hurts for a while. It is to change the structure of my life and faith with a focus on God.

You need to change it right now.
