title head and chest

Bible: Matthew 12:9-21

There is not a single part of our body that is not important. However, a broken finger does not mean that our lives are in jeopardy. However, if the head or chest is injured, life can be fatal. So the bones cover the brain to protect the head, and the ribs to protect the chest.
This important head and chest are a little different in how you usually maintain your health. The head should be kept cold, and the heart should be kept warm. Likewise, when faced with various problems in life, the head must be cool and the heart must be warm. However, as you go through life, it is not as easy as it sounds to live with a cool head and a warm heart.
Idealists who live with big dreams do not live well in reality, and those who live with justice as the most important thing do not obey any rules well. Also, those who live with great confidence live humbly. It is not easy to live with a cool head and a warm heart.
Einstein, who was called the greatest mathematician and scientist of the 19th and 20th centuries, told this story. “The greatest mathematician is Almighty God. Because it moves everything in this universe with precision, not even 0.00001 seconds wrong.” Einstein was saying that God has more understanding than anyone else.
But who is the God we know? He gave His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for us humans. God, who pours out his passionate love for mankind, is a person with a warm heart. It is God who has a cool head and a warm heart. He tells his disciples through Jesus in Matthew 11, “I hope that you go out into the world and be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.” In other words, it is saying, “I want your head to be cool and your heart to be warm.” We believe that in order to live as disciples of Christ in this world, we need a strong spirit and a warm heart.
Today's Bible is a word that clearly shows that Jesus had a cold head and a warm heart.
Jesus and his disciples were passing through wheat fields on the Sabbath, and the disciples were hungry and ate wheat. The Pharisees and scribes who saw this use this as an excuse to arrest Jesus and ask questions to Jesus. “Why do your disciples break the Sabbath?” When Jesus heard this question, David and the boys who followed him in 1 Samuel 21 were hungry, so they went to the city of Nob and went to Ahimelech the priest and asked for something to eat. At that time, Ahimelech the priest took the showbread that was written in the law that only priests could eat, and gave it to David and his boys, who were not priests. While speaking the words recorded in this Bible, Jesus says, “There is not man for the Sabbath, but the Sabbath for man.” How cool is the wisdom of Jesus?
Another event that continues in today's text is that Jesus entered the temple and saw a woman with a withered hand. Jesus heals the woman. However, the fact is that a woman with a withered hand doesn't die right away just because she says she doesn't get treatment right away. So those who watch this catch the pod again. Then Jesus asks: “If on the Sabbath the sheep of your house fell into a pit, would you rescue it? Won't you pick it up?" In fact, if you don't rescue a sheep from a puddle right away, it doesn't mean it will die soon. However, even on the Sabbath, if a sheep has fallen into a puddle, it is natural to rescue it immediately. The same is true of sheep, but would you wait until the Sabbath is over by calling someone more important than that the Sabbath? you ask.
You can see that Jesus had great wisdom and, at the same time, a deep and warm heart for people.
If a person does not have a strong mind and his spirit is weak, he cannot take center stage. If you say this from this side, it will lean this way, and if you talk from that side, it will lean that way. You will also become engrossed in fear. Change is not easy when you have fear. But if we don't change, we can't progress any further.
It is the Word that Jesus was able to overcome the temptations of the devil. A strong spirit comes from the Word. Also, because Jesus had a heart of love, he was not afraid of dying on the cross. In this way, love casts out fear.
People these days talk about pragmatism and live very selfishly. Therefore, human relationships are also based on one's own interests. If it does not benefit you, you are treated as a worthless person. If I live like this, my heart will inevitably become hardened.
We can see through the story of the rich man and the beggar Lazarus that we cannot enter the kingdom of heaven just because we believe in Jesus. It is not recorded in the Bible that the rich did bad things. However, he could not enter the kingdom of heaven because he did not take care of the beggar Lazarus who was in front of his house. You cannot enter heaven with such a hard heart.
I sincerely hope that all the saints will live with the strong spirit of Jesus and the warm heart of Jesus.
