Hymn: 488 "Sunshine Shines on My Soul"
Meditation: ‘Let the Healing Beam Shine’
Confession of Faith: Apostles' Creed
Text: Mal 4:2~3
Key Verse: “For you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with its healing rays, and you will go out and leap like calves out of the stall” (Malachi 4:2).
Word: Theologian Paul Tillich said that there are three gray areas in the minds of modern people.
First, there is a feeling of emptiness. It is an empty heart. This is where depression comes in. The second is guilt. It refers to a state of loss of peace and fear and chase. That is, the conscience is a state of pain. The third is fear. It is a state of fear, fear, and anxiety. Mental illness can also occur here.
In addition, Dr. Napoleon Hill classifies the causes of these gray areas of the mind into seven categories.
The first is the problem of economic poverty. The second is when you have an incurable disease that is difficult to treat. The third is when the goal returns to failure. That is, business failure, school entrance problems, promotion and personnel problems. The fourth is when you are betrayed by someone you love. Fifth is the problem of conflict with parents. Sixth is the problem of children. Seventh, there are many other problems.
There may be cases where problems like the above are the cause, but if you find the biblical cause, you can say that it comes from a lack of spiritual food. Modern people are mentally ill due to mental obsession, which causes various accidents in their lives.
Nearly one million people worldwide take their own lives every year, which is equivalent to one every 40 seconds, according to the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Association for the Prevention of Suicide (IASP) recently. Physical ailments can be treated with surgery, but spiritual and mental ailments are difficult to treat with modern medicine.
How can I be healed? First, you must have faith that fears God. “For those of you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with its healing rays, and you will go out and leap like calves out of the stall” (Mal 4:2). It means living a life of faith.
For those who fear God, the first righteous year will rise. Believers who believe in Jesus Christ will be healed of the power of spiritual darkness and will be healed of physical ailments as well as fundamental problems in life. Second, you will have joy, stability, and peace, like a calf in the stall.
Prayer: Loving Lord, through your rays of healing, may the sickness be healed and a blessed family living a life of peace and joy. I pray in the name of Jesus, amen.
