Sermons for Preaching

Title Hear / Micah 6:1-5

Content This text: Micah 6:1-5

Title: Listen

1. Outline of the text

Chapter 6 unfolds in three stages. Chapters 1-5 began with the word “listen” and urged God's people to turn their ears to God, whom they had forgotten. Hear, answer, and remember.

Step 2, steps 6-8 say, “What is pleasing to God?” God did not ask for sacrifices or sacrifices, but for justice, love, and humility.

The third stage is verses 9-16, and now he tells the main body of what he wants to do.

Introduction

1. These days, there are a lot of counseling calls, which is a very good phenomenon. This is because most of the help lines are run by independent people. However, the most important element in counseling is “listening”. It is important to listen, not to tell the other person. It may seem very surprising.

2. Listening to other people's stories is one of the virtues needed by modern people. People try to talk to others, but they don't listen to them.

3. Our beliefs are the same. "God! Listen to me! and cry out.” Lord, say something to me! Few people say.

4. In today's Word, the Lord cried out to Israel, "Listen." What do we need to hear?

I. Listen (1-2)

A. It was to awaken God's people who had sinned.

1. God delights in hearing His people's words. So I keep telling you to listen.

2. Among the traditional education of Israel, there is a “shema”. It is a unique educational method according to the words of Deuteronomy.

3. But Israel was far from hearing the voice of God. He listened more to Satan's voice than to God's word. I listened to the voice of the woman from another room. I listened to the sweet sounds of the world.

4. The result of not hearing the words and voices to be heard was “a flood of sins”. I do not know whether material abundance has come, but spiritually it has been desolated.

5. God called the people because he couldn't stay there any longer. It says, “What in the world has I tormented you?” He also asked, do you know what I have done for you? Do you know what God has done for them?

B. What do I need to hear?

1. Faith begins with hearing. Therefore, there must be a good hearing. You don't have to listen to anything, you have to listen to what you need to hear.

2. There is a lot of pollution in the world. Even the language we hear with our ears has pollution. If we listen to heresy editorials incorrectly, it is rather detoxifying our souls. So, refrain from listening. Let's hear what you need to hear.

3. Suffering from noise causes “hearing loss”. It means you don't hear what you need to hear. To avoid suffering from hearing loss, you should refrain from listening. What are the words that I must listen to, the words that benefit my soul?

4. In order to listen to the Word well, it is necessary to have a “secret time for fellowship with the Lord”. We need to clean our ears and listen to the small and subtle voice of the Lord, the voice of the Holy Spirit.

II. Answer (3-4).

A. What have I done to you?

1. God led Israel out of the land of Egypt.

2. He gave leaders named Moses and Aaron.

3. He gave us freedom from slavery.

B. What bothered you?

C. God saved me.

1. He was delivered from slavery like the people of Israel.

2. He rescued me from the chains of sin from the pain of worry and anxiety.

3. But now, do I remember that grace?

III. Remember (5).

A. Let's look back on the days that have passed so far.

1. The road of Israel after the Exodus was not smooth.

2. It was a fight against endless enemies.

3. Moreover, a man named Balak tried to kill God's people in a clever way. A war fought with weapons is rather one-dimensional. He tried to annihilate his opponent with the power of religion.

4. At first, Balaam was ruled by God and did no harm to Israel, but in the end, they were overcome by Balaam's clever tactics (Temptation to marry a foreign nation).

5. God took responsibility for and protected us until the end for things that humans could not do. In the end, he just couldn't protect the freedom he was given.

B. Let's remember that what I became is the grace of God.

1. Be impatient in everything,

impatient

bubbly

Am I not proud?

2. Nevertheless, the Word of God guided me.

commanded humility,

He commanded concessions and sacrifices.

commanded love

conclusion

1. Let's hear the word of God.

1) To do this, make sure to observe the time of reverence.

2) Read the Bible every day.

3) Let's have a time of prayer.

2. Let's remember the grace that has passed so far.
