Title Hebrews 11:23-26 Moses was Moses
Content Moses was Moses / (Hebrews 11:23-26)
Deuteronomy 34:10 testifies about Moses, saying, "After that, there has been no prophet like Moses in Israel, whom the Lord knew face to face."
Let's think about how this great Moses was born and raised.
Moses was born when the king of Egypt issued a law stating that any male child born among the Israelites must be thrown into the Nile River. The reason that Moses survived without being thrown into the Nile was because of the adventures that risked their lives. The Bible testifies that this life-risking adventure is “faith”.
In the 11th chapter of Hebrews we read today, prominent heroes like a castle are appearing biting their tails. This is why Chapter 11 is called the 'Hall of Faith'. Movie stars and sports heroes are inducted into the Hall of Fame. All the heroes of faith in the Old Testament appear in this chapter 11. Now, by the way, in verse 23, Moses' parents are proudly present. What made Moses' parents enter the hall of heroes? It is their belief. What is your belief? Verse 23 says that it is the faith that saved his son Moses. What did you hide in your faith? It is the belief that "God will use it preciously". The faith and vision that our parents should have when they see their children today is that "God uses these children preciously."
Another great thing Moses' parents show is how they do their best as parents.
What it means to have faith doesn't mean that you don't have to do anything because you believe in Jesus and He will do everything for you, but rather that you should do your best more actively. The best thing Moses' parents did was try to keep them secretly by hiding them in the house first. However, as the child grew older as the three months passed, the crying sound grew accordingly, and the radius of action also increased, so it was only a matter of time before it became known outside. We've reached the final point where we can no longer hide and nurture. We meet countless times in our lives where we reach the end like this. As they raise Moses with faith, worrying problems begin to arise one by one. Under this circumstance, God did not open the way so that we could continue to grow, nor did He solve the problem through a groundbreaking miracle.
Wouldn't it be great if you could continue to raise Moses as you are?
A crisis has come. A crisis is a time when the continuous days of life come to a halt at some point. However, people of faith and people of faith do not say that such cases are 'a situation of crisis' or 'a dangerous moment in life'. I am in peace that God, who has protected and guided me in the past, is just moving me to a new stage in my life under another plan. So, you can do your best in what you can do in reality and hope for God's guidance. Look at Moses' parents. Now the best thing they could do was to coat the reeds with bitumen and wood, then put Moses in it and put it on the banks of the Nile.
Dear saints, please take a closer look at what is happening from this moment on. How wonderfully God intervenes and protects.
If you look at Exodus 2:5 and below, it is said that no matter how many coincidences in the world, it can happen once or twice, but it happens seven times in a row.
Because of the parents who had such faith and did their best, God was able to entrust the life of the great servant Moses to them and prepare them for them. Is Moses growing up in our home, in our church?
