Title: Expect God's Blessing
Text: Hebrews 11:6
After being saved, we have a body and live in this world until we die. The best question is "Blessing or curse?" is. The saved saints were specially chosen by God as a blessing. However, some people think, "How can a person like me receive God's blessing? What can we do to receive God's blessing and live as we please?" But it is not. Jacob and Esau had 2 brothers. Jacob longed for God's blessing very much. Then, although he was born as the youngest son, he was blessed with the eldest son. However, Esau did not care about God's blessings.
One day Esau returned from hunting and was very hungry. At the same time, Jacob was making pad porridge. Instead of giving him padjuk, Jacob wanted the blessing of his brother's eldest son.
Genesis 25:32 "And Esau said, I am about to die, and of what profit is this birthright to me?" Esau's immediate hunger took precedence over the firstborn's blessing. In verse 34, “Esau was despising the birthright.” To despise here means to ignore it. Esau ignored the blessing of the firstborn. In the end, Esau loses his eldest son's blessing. On the other hand, Jacob, who longed for the blessing, will receive the blessing.
So, what must we do to receive God's blessing today?
1. You must change your mind.
If you do not change your thinking, it will be an obstacle to receiving blessings.
God is a blessing. In order to receive blessings from God, you must have correct thoughts and consciousness about God. Those who think of God as a God who finds and punishes sin and a God who judges bad things unconditionally can never receive blessings.
Whenever I commit a sin, someone who understands it as God who punishes me and angers me will say, “How can I be blessed when I have sinned like this? "Hey," such a person can never be blessed. Just think about it. If God is angry and judges you every time you sin, no one will be perfect now. Some people have their mouths turned, some have their legs cut off, some have their arms cut off... But aren't you all sane? God is not a God of wrath, but a God of love, a long-suffering God. He is a God who expects to bless his children.
God is merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in mercy and compassion.
David was a man with a very good concept toward God. A person who has been blessed even after he has sinned. Because he had a good conception of God.
David confesses in Psalm 23, “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.” It is confessing that God is a God who provides in time. “Surely goodness and kindness will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” The word "good" here means "God who is good to me, who is good to me."
God is good to you. God is a good God. He is the God who forgives your sins and covers your sins. He is also a blessing to his beloved children. We must get rid of the dark shadow of God. It must be understood as God who always blesses me.
Hebrews 6:14-15 “He said, ‘I will surely bless you and bless you and multiply you and multiply you. God always wants to bless you. Please hold onto this promise and enjoy the blessings.
2. We must look forward to God.
Hebrews 11:1 says, “Faith is the substance of things hoped for.” This means that if there is no hope in God, there is no faith. Hebrews 11:6 says, “He must believe that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.” This is a promise to reward and bless those who hope and expect of God. There must be something to hope for and expect from God. You must have a vision. Then God will fill you.
Abraham and Sarah were barren. I have no children. But God promised, "I will make you the father of the nations." Then God hoped for this and believed. Eventually, Abraham became the father of the nations. God finds and blesses people who expect and expect something. No matter how difficult or poor they are, God blesses those who look to Him. "Am I old enough?" But age has nothing to do with it. If we expect the blessings of God, He will let us enjoy those blessings for our generation and for our descendants.
Psalm 33:18 "The Lord searches those who fear him, those who hope for his kindness, and rescues their souls from death, and brings them to life in times of famine." The Lord gives you what you want. If you want a lot, you give it big, and if you want a little, you give it a little. Is there anything you want from the Lord? Then pray in faith. You will surely answer.
Children of God must long for the blessings of God. God fills those who are hungry and thirsty with blessings. let's be blessed Then everything you do will be fine.
In the name of Jesus, I pray that you may become believers who receive great blessings from God and enjoy them in the hope that you will be blessed by believing in a good God.
