Title Hebrews 01:1 Last Card

Contents

Hebrew 1-1) Last card

It is said that the so-called 3S policy is mobilized when the dictators use the policy of liberalization. In our history, the military regime has ruled for a long time, so it can be said that our country has been under the influence of this policy without exception.

3S stands for Sports, Screen, and Sex. I don't know why, but it can be said that our country is a sports powerhouse compared to its national strength. It is thanks to the highway and TV that made the whole country a daily life zone or a simultaneous cultural zone. Wherever the incident took place, it is immediately known. There can be no rumors or gossip. Too much privacy is exposed to the point of becoming a problem. Because it is the Internet age now, the whole world has become one. The open sex trend is making one in three married couples divorced. We have come to a point where we cannot help but feel the crisis.

Nothing relieves stress like sports. Exercising directly can relieve stress, but it can also relieve stress indirectly. By far my most popular sport when I was a kid was wrestling. At that time, wrestling was popular because there was an outstanding athlete named Kim Il. On the day Kim Il wrestles, the village chief's house forms a long line. Because the TV was there. Before Kim Il comes out, the extras come out to heighten the atmosphere and the main game takes place. The giants appear and they are covered in blood by mobilizing all the tools for foul play, but if any player gets a headbutt by Kim Il, the game will run into waves. Headbutt can be said to be Kim Il's last card.

What is God's final card when it comes to salvation? Please pay attention to today's text.

I. Background of this book

Hebrews is a mystery book. Because neither the author nor the recipient are known. Nevertheless, the early church loved it, and it was a book that had many twists and turns until it was added to the New Testament canon at the Carthage Conference in 397. Its content is predominantly an apologetics or warnings and exhortations against the Jews who believe in Jesus trying to return to the past. In other words, this book is not a letter for unbelievers or new believers, but rather a higher-level theological statement for Jewish Christians who are well versed in the Old Testament. So the Old Testament is quoted a lot. It is cited 51 times in the Pentateuch, 13 times in the Psalms, 15 times in the Prophets, and 1 time each in the history books and Proverbs. Because the book of Hebrews provides a solid foundation for christology, we should know a responsibilities that are very useful to us.

II. text comprehension

Once upon a time (verse 1)-this expression is symmetrical with the last day of verse 2. Christianity is called the religion of revelation. “To reveal” means “to show”. God wants to show Himself. However, the method of showing it is slightly different from time to time. For example, even when explaining People, there are different ways to explain it to infants, kindergarteners, elementary school students, middle school students, and adults. Teach children objects with concrete pictures or dolls. However, the older you get, the more abstract symbols or characters are used. Likewise, we need to know that God is showing Himself differently in each age.

With the prophets (verse 1)-The core of the book of Hebrews is “Christology”. To the Jews, prophets, angels, and priests were considered mystical beings who were closest to God and knew the will of God best. So they believed that even though they believed in Jesus, they thought that it was not enough. Just as the Israelites tried to return to Egypt after they left Egypt, even though they believed in Jesus, they did not fully believe in Him and were deeply tempted to return to the past.

Even among many people today, there are those who want to return to their old life when their life after believing in Jesus is not as good as expected. To such people, the author of the book of Hebrews affirms that the Son, "Jesus," is superior to the prophets, angels, Moses, or any priest in the Old Testament.

Many parts and many forms (v. 1) The book of Hebrews uses the most elegant and elegant terms in the New Testament. The expression method used by ancient oratory and Greek orators is the same expression method as the text. The various parts (πολυμερ??) can be translated as many times or many times. Many shapes (πολυτρ?πω?) mean “many ways”. I feel the love of God deeply here. There is a deep meaning here. We have come to realize that God reveals Himself in various ways until we understand it to meet our eye level. In order to let their children know their will, parents sometimes threaten them coercively, and sometimes praise them and use all kinds of methods to show their love. In that sense, the Bible has prose, poetry, play, tragedy and comedy. This shows that you are revealing yourself in various ways. This is the reason why today's sermons must be delivered using language and methods that fit the sentiments of modern people.

III. last card son jesus

As sons at the end of every day (verse 2) - The Bible is the history of salvation. From the time when the dark cloud of sin began to fall over mankind due to the sin of Adam and Eve, God continued to unfold the plan of salvation. In Genesis 3:15, which is called the first promise of salvation, starting with the mention of the “descendant of the woman”, numerous figures such as Isaac, Joseph, Moses, and Jonah are seen as shadows of the coming Savior Messiah. If Kim Il's last card is headbutt, God's final card is "Jesus Christ" Why is Jesus the last card of salvation?

First, because the Word became flesh. God is the Word. The more accurate meaning of the expression “He spoke to us through the Son” is “In the Son (?ν υ??)”. It means that all things have been said in the Son. The Son is God, and the Son is the truth, the light, the way, and the life.

Third - because he is the Creator. In John 1:3 it says, “All things were made through him, and without him nothing was made that was made.” It means that he becomes the subject of creation.

Fourth - for he is the radiance of God's glory and the image of his being. The word apaugasma (?ρα?γατμα) meaning “brightness” refers to both the light emitted from the source of light and the light reflected, that is, both the illuminant and the reflector. Also, the shape of the body is a philosophical term, meaning the substance that makes the thing exist. So, Jesus is God Himself.

Fourth - Because He is the One who holds all things. It means that God does not create and neglect His creation, but takes responsibility for maintaining and preserving His creation.

Fifth - Because He is the one who purifies sins. To purify sins means to have the power to forgive sins. The only name that can take away sins is Jesus. It means conquering death, the wages of sin.

Sixth - because he becomes the mediator. Christmas is the most important day when God's last card is thrown. Believe that his victory is my victory, and I sincerely hope that it will be a Christmas when you can present the last card with boldness to the world.
