Bible: Hebrews 2:1-18
Subject : Faith, Mission
1. (John 5:1-9) Why was only the 38-year-old sick person healed at Bethesda Pool? From the standpoint of others, God had no influence and no living being to them. Why don't you save everyone? You can feel that God is neither fair nor alive.
(Matthew 27:33-44) On Golgotha Hill, people criticized Jesus (save yourself), so why didn't Jesus perform miracles for them? Why didn't Jesus perform miracles that he was able to perform as the Son of God? Why did you act selectively? Why isn't my problem miraculously solved?
- The freedom of man, the love of Jesus, the providence of God, and the demand for obedience toward mankind. It wasn't forced. He worked on those who made a voluntary decision while being patient and respectful. But in the past, it has been done.
It is a parent-child relationship. Children are independent or reborn of their parents. Parents who love their children. Teenage son rebels don't interfere. that he can live well. They are the parents who patiently and unrequitedly love their son with personal love. You can punish the child, but it is the parents who patiently take care of the child with love. Kierkegaard's parable: A king who loves a lowly servant girl. You can force him to become your wife, but you become humble and win the love of her true heart. Only love makes an unequal relationship into an equal relationship.
God has revealed Himself. Through the prophets, through the Word, and through Mother Nature, He is taking care of our lives.
2. My disappointment with God (doubt about whether God exists) arises from the despair and suffering in my reality. It is essentially my disbelief and disobedience. When we are in despair and suffering, we ask where God is. But God loves us and protects us.
3. The text is the Word of God for the faith we are convinced of.
God is alive. The text begins with the proclamation of the psalm that God has put all things under the feet of Jesus. It's obvious, but it doesn't look like that. Jesus is about to taste death for everyone.
(The words of verses 17 and 18) It is referring to the Lord of the Cross. It is the same as the human experience. He said that God sympathizes with our weaknesses. sym(with) pathy(suffer) - suffer together God showed obedience through suffering. Jesus did not use a sword or call an angel in the Garden of Gethsemane. He solved everything through love through the cross.
The only way to overcome evil is to accept it and eat it. When it absorbs evil as if blood seeps into a sponge, evil loses its power and has nowhere to go.
4. God lives. He works patiently and selectively to persuade us in our hearts. The grace is open to those who live by faith completely and voluntarily.
I hope you all live by faith. I hope that you will become people of faith who thank God for the grace of God because you are so grateful. I bless you all who have hope and live by faith.
