Title Hebrews 02:1-4 God's Three Warnings

Contents God's Three Warnings Hebrews 2:1-4

Ladies and gentlemen, last month, we experienced a tremendous event that will astonish the whole world.

As predicted by Samuel Huntington, a professor and political scientist at Harvard University, in his theory of clash of civilizations, this devastating situation poses the risk of escalating into an endless confrontation between the Western and Islamic forces.

In addition, I believe that this great event that happened so suddenly is a wake-up call for us believers.

Because as we see in Matthew 24:7-8 in the Bible, “Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places, and all these are the beginning of calamities.”

But now, conflicts between nations and nations are continuing without end, centering on the Third World, which has been freed from imperialism and colonialism after World War II.

In other words, it is said that there is no place where nations and nations do not fight because of political, ideological and religious differences.

Then, what should we do at a time like this? These events that are taking place all over the world are a powerful warning from God to us who are living in the last days.

It is the fact that it is a red signal that God has sent to those who are busy with their own interests because they cannot be awake.

Your warning is sending a warning signal in advance, looking ahead to the possibility of facing a crisis.

For this reason, those who receive warnings and prepare for them, and those who live without any interest or countermeasures despite warnings, will face completely different results in the future.

Everyone, in the words of the New Testament book of Hebrews today, there are three warnings to our saints who are living in the last days, and we should be able to hear this warning message vividly.

God's message of warning The first is to warn us not to neglect our present salvation. look.

Today's Word 2:3 says, "How can we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? This salvation was first spoken of by the Lord, and it was confirmed to us by those who heard it. is not".

But the truth is that these words are not meant to unbelievers, but to us who believe.

In a word, if the saints neglect the blessed life of salvation, there is no way to escape God's wrath and judgment from justice.

Everyone, of course, we received our salvation by faith easily and easily, but this salvation was not achieved at a cheap price.

We do not know how precious this salvation is because it is only obtained after Jesus, the Son of God, died on the cross to atone for our sins.

Therefore, you must never neglect the salvation of the Lord.

So don't lose your salvation

The first warning from God,

Second, it warns us to be afraid of falling away from God.

Hebrews 3:12 says, “Brothers, take heed, lest any of you harbor an evil heart in unbelief and be cut off from the living God.”

So, these words are saying that you should not fall.

There are two types of people who go to church:

One is just churchgoers, so there are only registered members in the church, but the other group is believers who experienced salvation and became Christians.

Church members and saints are clearly different.

At the end of the day, they are clearly separated like wheat and tares.

When he spoke to God in parables about salvation, he was saying that two women were grinding at the mill, one being taken and the other being left alone.

We will have to think for ourselves.

Whether I am a member of the church or a saint, even though we say we believe in God, we can fall as much as we want without others noticing it.

Avoiding people's eyes is nothing if you put your mind to it.

Therefore, when you look at the Word, you must remember which of you is being said.

Even among us, we can fall.

The proof of this is Matthew 7:21-23.

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only those who do the will of my Father who is in heaven. Have you not cast out demons and performed many mighty works in your name?” Then I said to them plainly, “I never knew you; get away from me, you who practice lawlessness.”

Therefore, today's Bible says that you should not be a person in this state, and it tells you to worry about falling from God, and asks how long. It means to strive not to fall away from God.

I hope you all do your best to live according to God's will while relying on God today.

Finally, the final warning warns us to be careful that we do not mature even after a long time.

In Hebrews 5:12, it says that you should become teachers because of the long time, but from whom you should again receive the basics of the word of God, for you have become deprived of milk or solid food.

Here, it is said that the time is long, but when it comes to what kind of time has come, it means that those who believe in God have come.

It means that you have been living your life of faith for several years or decades.

So now is the time to become a teacher.

However, it is pointed out that this is not the case.

It means that you are wasting your religious age.

To such a person, God is warning them to become mature saints soon.

Everyone, if I have believed in God for a long time, now I must become a teacher and lead a life of faith while teaching others properly.

If you're in a good position, you have to play a role.

But why can't you?

The answer is simple. It's because I can't grow.

This is because they are still in a state of immature drinking or milk.

A born child must grow up every day to be a healthy child.

If so, what is the state of my heart before God?

We believers in Jesus need to grow properly in spirit.

A child who does not grow up in a timely manner becomes a source of trouble for parents at home.

It will be a burden for the rest of your life. This is to be careful.

As our years of faith deepen, our hearts and our faith should grow accordingly.

Dear friends, through Hebrews chapters 2, 3, and 5, God is warning us about three things to our saints living in the last days.

1. Do not neglect salvation

2. Don't fall away from God while life permits you

3. It means to grow according to the age of faith.

I pray that all of us will remember these words well and put them into practice, so that we will all bear precious fruit abundantly.
