Title Hebrews 05:7 Experiencing God's Presence
Contents
“While he was in the flesh he offered up supplications and supplications with loud cries and tears to him who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his godliness.”
There was a time when Jesus was in the world as a man. And, like everyone else, he lived through hardships. When suffering came with the face of death, Jesus' face turned to God. He cried out aloud to God who could save him from death and prayed with many tears. filed a petition
God saw Jesus' fear of God through his cry and tears. He saw his trust in God's power and love. God saw the fear of Jesus toward God through the image of Jesus who became infinitely small before God, infinitely weak, and infinitely humble.
Prayer is evidence of our fear of God. So God answered Jesus' prayer. He delivered Jesus from the dead. According to Jesus' expectation and faith in Jesus, God delivered Jesus from the dead. The many tears that flowed down Jesus' cheeks became laughter. The wailing that had burst out through Jesus' throat has now become a song.
Prayer turns tears into laughter, wailings into songs! Lazarus, the man Jesus loved, died (John 11:14). Tears of pain and sorrow from death covered the place of life. And Jesus wept and wept at the very place of death. Because he was a loved one (John 11:35).
Oh, human, so human Jesus! And with this love, this bitterness, and these tears, Jesus went to the tomb of Lazarus, where he had been dead for four days. Then he looked up to heaven and prayed to God.
… Father, thank you for listening to me. I know that my father always listens to me… (John 11:41-42)
Jesus has a warm heart that can grieve the death of a loved one. And Jesus, who experienced the sorrow of bereavement and human suffering with his whole body. Besides, Jesus does not stay there, but offers prayers to God with the bitterness of man's limiting situation. Yes. Jesus was such a man, and he loved men and feared God. Jesus has always been like that.
God wants us to offer our prayers in the midst of suffering. But are we really living a life of prayer? What if we face death? What should we do if we are faced with the pain of life that we have to cry and shout even if it is not death? would you give up? Are you looking for someone? Wandering and worrying?
God expects us to lift our heads up and look up to heaven, offering prayers and supplications to God with loud outcries and many tears. Prayer is trust in God. Prayer is a confession of faith in God. Prayer is faith in God's power and love.
And he saves those who pray like that from their suffering. Because those who pray are truly poor people. Because those who pray are truly those who fear God. Because those who pray are those who trust in the power and love of God. And finally, those who pray live experience God.
Abba, father! Let us cry out loud, and pray and wish with many tears!
