Proverbs 23:1-10.
1 When you sit down to eat with the ruler,
Take heed and consider who is in front of you.
2 If you are a glutton, you shall put a sword around your neck.
3 Do not covet his delicious food, for it is deceitful.
4 Do not strive to be rich, but forsake your private wisdom.
5 How can you pay attention to vain things? Surely riches are
I will spread my wings and fly like an eagle in the sky
6 You shall not eat the food of those who have an evil eye.

7 For as his heart thinks, so is his great man.
If he tells you to eat and drink, his heart is not with you.
8 You will vomit what you ate a little, and your beautiful words will return to vanity
9 Do not speak in the ear of a fool, for he will despise your wisdom.
10 Do not move the old landmark, and do not invade the fields of the orphans.

What is the rainy season really looking for?
1. We must first seek his kingdom and his righteousness. (Matthew 6:33)
Our thoughts tend to be directed in the direction of saving.

2. We must choose honor over wealth and grace over gold. (Proverbs 22:1)
The reward of humility and the fear of the Lord is riches and glory and life (Proverbs 22:4).
3. You must make the right evaluation. (6-8)
We must follow God's evaluation method, which looks at the heart rather than the outward appearance.
1 Samuel 16:7 The LORD said to Samuel, "Do not look at his appearance or stature.

8 Jesse called Abinadab and made him pass before Samuel, and Samuel said,
This too was not chosen by the LORD.
9 Jesse passed through Shammah, and Samuel said,

10 Jesse made all seven of his sons pass before Samuel.
Samuel said to Jesse, "The LORD has not chosen them."
11 And Samuel said to Jesse, Are all your sons here?
Jesse said, The youngest is still left, and he keeps the sheep.
Samuel said to Jesse, "Send and bring him."
We will not sit down at the table until he comes here.
12 So he sent and brought him.
His light was red, his eyes were excellent, and his face was beautiful.
And the LORD said, "This is him; rise up and anoint him."
13 Samuel took a horn of oil and poured it on him from among his brethren.
From that day forward David was greatly moved by the Spirit of the Lord.
Samuel left and went to Ramah.
