Title: I'll Hold You
We are teaching our age today and it is called the age of uncertainty.
The fact is that it is turning into fear and fear.
When we look around us, we find that we are full of all kinds of fears, worries, anxieties and sighs.
God is speaking to us who live in this modern age.
don't be afraid
The words of Isaiah 41 in today's text are also living words to the people of Israel who are trembling in fear.
It is the voice of God. Fear not, for I am with you.
1. The Lord is holding you
I want you to believe that the everlasting arms of the Lord are with you, always holding you.
why are you holding on Because they are weak, because they lack, or because they do not have the strength, they hold on to them.
We need to understand the circumstances in which today's text was written to understand the words we read today, especially the words of verse 41:10.
When the people of Israel fell because of their sins, God told them that there would be a judgment of wrath.
God raised up the prophet Isaiah and rebuked them for their sins and depravity,
They will be judged in the end, \The northern Israel will be taken captive to Assyria,
He said that Judah in the south would be taken captive to Babylon.
Hearing God's continued rebuke and judgment, the Israelites became frustrated,
I was afraid, I was discouraged, I was losing strength, I was losing hope.
especially the elect of God,
It shows the image of God's great love that sustains and works for God's people.
In this context, let's look at the words of today's text.
God said, O people of Israel, you hated me and forsook me and went far away.
I hold you from the ends of the earth, and I have not been rejected of you.
so
(Isaiah 41:10) Fear not, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
That's right.
We have turned away from God and have turned away from God, but God has not rejected us.
Please believe that the Lord is the God who sustains me whenever He is with me.
Even if I'm weak, even if I'm not good enough, even if I fail,
It is a fact that even if I fail, God is still holding me.
So let's
“The Lord is holding me with his right hand.” do you believe
An old man had a dream one night.
It was a dream of walking on the beach with the Lord.
In the sky, the images of his life were being projected as it was.
After watching a few scenes, I suddenly looked at the beach and saw the footprints of two people on the sand.
One was his, the other was the Lord's.
After the last scene of his life passed, the man looked back again.
There were many times in his long life where the footprints of only one person were engraved.
At a time of so much hopelessness and pain, I realized that there was only one footprint.
The old man was puzzled and asked the Lord.
“Lord, when I decided to follow you, you said,
Always walk the path of life with me.
However, during the most difficult period of my life, I only left one footprint.
I cannot understand why you left me when I needed you the most.”
The Lord, who was listening to that, answered.
“My son, I love you and I have never left you.
When you suffered and were sad, I carried you and walked the path of life.
One man's footprints in the sand are mine."
Dear all!
When I am weak, I have to believe that the Lord is supporting me.
I need to believe that the Lord is holding me when I am struggling with problems.
When I am having a hard time, I have to believe that the Lord is holding me.
Even when I cry out in pain and sickness, I must believe that the Lord is sustaining me.
In fact, isn't it?
Because the Lord has supported me and you until now, we are here today.
The supply of air also shows that the Lord is holding on to me.
Even when the sunlight shines on me, it is a form of the Lord holding me up.
Even when it rains, the Lord is holding me up.
2. What kind of history does the Lord hold?
Can't you hear the voice of the Lord speaking to me this morning?
‘I will hold you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.’
That's right. What will happen to me because the Lord is holding me like this?
① Good things happen (11-13).
The problem is changed and it is solved.
It makes me do things I can't.
God makes what I cannot do.
Those who are angry will face shame and reproach.
Those who quarrel become like nothing.
Those who try to hit me will not be able to hit me.
This is because the Lord sustains you.
I see in the bible,
As the Lord held him, the miracle of the five fishermen took place.
The Lord held him, and the lame got up and walked.
As the Lord upheld me, my dry hands were restored.
The Lord holds me, so I will not sink when I pass through the water.
It is said that it does not burn when it passes through the fire (Isaiah 43:1-2).
The Lord is holding you and me.
So please believe that good things like this will happen to me as well.
② As long as the Lord holds on to us, we will not perish (John 10:28-29).
(John 10:28) I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish;
No one can snatch them out of my hand.
(John 10:29) My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one can snatch them out of the Father's hand.
The lion's den was not a problem as the Lord supported him.
The furnace was not a problem as the Lord supported us.
The Lord is holding us, who can separate us from God's love?
The Lord is holding us up, who is accusing us of falling?
(Romans 8:38) For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,
(Romans 8:39) Neither height nor depth nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Miracles happen when we are held in the hands of the Lord. History happens. Power things happen.
Therefore, we, who stand before the Lord, should also make such a wish.
Trust that the Lord is holding you and me.
Furthermore, the Lord should not be the only one holding our hand.
We too must hold onto the hand of the Lord with faith.
3. I must hold the hand of the Lord.
Your right hand is always holding me (believe me).
?Therefore, my salvation is not lost.
We cannot escape from heaven because the Lord is holding me in His right hand.
This hand is always holding me, whether I am good at it or not.
This is the hand I hold until I believe in Jesus and go to heaven.
No one can snatch me out of my father's hand.
This is called the certainty of salvation. It is called the perfection of salvation.
Even though I am in disobedience and in the midst of wrongdoing
The Lord's right hand that holds me will never let go.
God has two hands.
God's right hand signifies absolute sovereignty and power.
This is God's unique authority that no man can do.
It is the realm of God that no one can invade.
That is why, sometimes, God pushes and swells by force and accomplishes God's works.
There is a powerful history of making God do it.
And God also has a left hand just like us.
God's left hand is the hand that holds our outstretched hand when we reach out and grasp it.
Therefore, we experience the God of power and live a life that fulfills the work of fullness,
The way to fulfill the blessed work of faith becomes our strength,
We must hold on to the Lord who is joy and everything.
If my right hand holds the Lord's right hand, do I hold God with the other left hand?
Depending on whether we hold on to it or not, the shape of our religious life will change.
Look at the people around you who are full of faith, full of grace, and full of power.
It's not because they're special that they can live that way.
Because you hold on to the Lord who is the source of faith, power, and grace, the Lord holds the hand that holds you.
Yes, because the Lord works.
So, now live your life holding the hand of the Lord.
Reach out your prayers and hold on to the Lord. The Lord will work in prayer.
Reach out the hand of the Word and hold on to the Lord. The Lord will work in the Word.
Reach out your obedient hand and hold on to the Lord. The Lord will work in obedience.
Reach out your hands of worship and hold on to the Lord. The Lord will work in worship.
Reach out your loving hand and hold on to the Lord. The Lord will work in love.
Reach out your hand and hold on to the Lord. The Lord will work in giving.
Reach out to the frail disease. The Lord will heal the outstretched weak hand of disease.
Now let's reach out the hand of my faith and hold onto the Lord.
Let us reach out our prayerful hand and hold on to the Lord.
The Bible says
(Proverbs 8:17) I love those who love me, and those who seek me earnestly find me.
