Text: Proverbs 13:2-3
As time goes by, the language used also changes a lot.
Older generations do not know what words have been coined as the words used in the past disappear with the passage of time and new new languages have been mass-produced.
When the gospel came to this land in the 50s and 60s, among the new words, people who believed in Jesus were called “Jesus-speakers” and “talkers.” Of course, this is a term used by unbelievers to disparage, ridicule and disrespect Christians. But these days, I can't even hear these words, so I'm sad. Why? When I heard the word “talkie”, people who believe in Jesus were socially smart and powerful, and they would have been given such a nickname because they spoke bluntly about Jesus. Maybe it's because I can't even hear the word "talkie"? I look back.
Originally, the term “juggler” was used to refer to a person with extraordinary expertise in a certain field. So, “Jesus” means an expert in believing in Jesus, and “talkative” has a positive side of being an expert in evangelism.
When we, believers, speak, we should, whenever possible, use positive words, useful words, and blessings. Because people live by words. Today's text says, "A man enjoys blessings because of his words." This means that you will do what you say.
Even if you say the same thing, 'I can do it', 'I can do it', 'Let's do it', 'Let's do it', 'Let's work together', 'Let's evangelize', 'Let's pray', 'Be strong', 'Don't be discouraged and have courage. '. These words give people courage, change their self-portrait, and make life as they say it.
However, the opposite is also the case. 'No', 'No', 'It's hard', 'It's ruined', 'Trouble', 'I can't live', 'I'm going to die', these words are the culture of demons (Mark 9:22), and they lead to destruction and death.
The horse also acts as a entanglement for itself. For example, during a marital fight, “I will not go to church from now on! And the words I spit out bind my feet when I have to go to church.
When you listen to a person, that person
1. Personality is visible.
There are many cases such as hot-blooded people, shy people, and chatty people, but believers must live with blessings in their words. You must speak well. For that to happen, words and language must be blessed.
2. Faith is visible.
Faith is not easily understood because there are hidden parts other than the outward appearance, but the words reveal the person's faith. For example, when hearing the words of Psalm 23, “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not lack”, those who have good faith thank Jehovah God for being with them and say, ‘Well then, that’s right’ and live contentedly in the midst of shortcomings. But the opposite is also true.
It is really important whether God or Satan controls people's words. In Matthew 16:16, in Peter's confession of Jesus, Jesus said, "Blessed is Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but my Father who is in heaven." I listened and I was blessed. But in verse 21, Jesus went down to Peter, who was grieving for Jesus’ suffering and death and stopped him, saying, “Get behind me, Satan, for you are a stumbling block to me, for you do not think about the things of God, but the things of men. ” He said, “Rebuke followed Satan’s ruling words that tried to block God’s work by putting human affections first.
Dear members of Shepherd Church,
By whom are your words influenced and by whom? Blessed be the Lord. Even though we went to church together and received the same office, there are those who say things that are praised and those who say things that are cursed. As you all speak positive words, religious words, and spiritually blessed words, I bless you to become “Jesus-wields” and “talkers” of Jesus who enjoy the blessings. Amen. Hallelujah!!.
