Title How Is His Name Hallowed?
Contents
In the Bible, our Lord Jesus, the firstborn son of the Father, taught the children of flesh and blood to pray to our Father in heaven. The first head of prayer is, “Therefore, pray like this, our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be your name” (Matthew 6:9).
Prayer is a wish to tell the Father in heaven about various things that happen in the process of achieving salvation for the children of flesh and blood. That is why the Lord Jesus taught, “Pray ye in this way, our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be your name,” because prayers will come up only after the name of your Father who is in heaven is first sanctified.
Prayer is the incense that the children who belong to the same blood and blood offer their wishes to the Father in heaven.
Our Father in heaven is holy. It is the same as the words of His testimony, “It is written, Be holy, because I am holy” (1 Peter 1:16). But his holiness is revealed through those who draw near to him, and if those who draw near him are not holy, there is only the wrath of God. This is because prayer is an incense offering that is closest to God.
The Bible says, “Aaron’s sons Nadab and Abihu each brought their censers, and filled incense before the LORD with fire that the LORD had not commanded, and a fire came out from before the LORD and devoured them, and they died before the LORD.” Moses said to Aaron, “This is This is what the LORD says, 'I will be sanctified among those who come near me, and I will be glorified before all the people...' (Leviticus 10:1-3).
For this reason, the Bible says, “I am the Lord your God, and sanctify yourselves, for I am holy, and do not defile yourselves with creeping things that creep on the ground; I am the Lord who brought you out of the land of Egypt to be your God. Be holy because you are holy” (Leviticus 11:44-45).
In the above verse, “Do not defile yourself with anything that creeps on the ground” means, “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him, for all that is in the world The lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life: all do not come from the Father, but from the world. The world and its lusts pass away, but he who does the will of God abides forever” (1 John 2:15-17). ), what would it be?
That is why the Bible says, “The heavens will praise your wonders, O LORD, and your faithfulness will be praised in the congregation of the Holy” (Psalm 89:5).
Because the God who is sanctified is the source of holiness, the text of truth says, “But the LORD of hosts is exalted because he is just, and the holy God is sanctified because he is righteous. And of the barren fields of the fat, the wanderers will eat” (Isaiah 5:16-17). I earnestly pray that that time will be right now. Amen.
Just as there is only one source of goodness, there is only one true God, the source of holiness. For this reason, “Jesus said, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said you are gods’? The Bible cannot be abolished. How can you say that you are blasphemous?” (John 10:34-36).
Not only this, He also testified of the truth, saying, “And for their sake I also sanctify myself, that they too may be sanctified by the truth” (John 17:19).
For Christ Jesus, whom the Father has sanctified and sent into the world, has become wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption to us, who are flesh and blood. It is written, “You are of God, and you are in Christ Jesus, who came from God and became to us wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption, so that as it is written, He who boasts, let him boast in the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 1:30-31) It is the same evidence you gave.
And more clearly of holiness, “For both he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all of one. Therefore, he is not ashamed to call them brethren, saying, “I declare your name to my brethren, and I will present you in the midst of the church. He said, “I will praise him, and again I will trust in him.” And behold, I and the children God has given me…” (Hebrews 2:11-13).
Therefore, those who are abolished and unholy are not children of God. It is written, "Enoch, the seventh son of Adam, also prophesied of the men, saying, Behold, the Lord has come with ten thousands of holy ones, to judge all, and to all the ungodly deeds of all ungodly, That he might condemn ungodly sinners for all their harsh words against the Lord” (Jude 1:14-15).
“A man from afar will come and build the house of the Lord, and you will know that the Lord of the nations has sent me to you. If you will obey the word of the Lord your God, it will be like this” (Zechariah 6:15), “The Lord of hosts. From the rising of the sun to the setting of the sun, my name will be great among the nations, and in every place I will offer incense and clean offerings to my name, for my name will be great among the nations” (Mal 1: 11) , Amen, thank you Lord.
